Has anyone tried Phendimetrazine? Is it similar to Phentermine? My dr gave me a scrip yesterday and while I've been on Phentermine before, this scrip says up to 3 times daily. That's alot of pill popping!

what is this one?  I am on one of these...But one a day, I am on off, and I like it, it takes the edge off.  but i would be interested to know what it is being taken for and what it is supossed to do.

The generic name is Bontril. It's a yellow tablet. I took one this morning and... another one before lunch. I don't feel tired or hungry but it's my first day. My bottle says up to 3 times a day...wow! That just seems like alot of 35mg and it's a controlled substance. My dr. says it's the one that is being prescribed in all the diet clinics.

Really? Well I don't think I'm hungry on it but it doesn't give me lots of energy like phentermine does.

I am taking Bontril as well.. I just started yesterday.. I have the 105mg one, which is supposed to be the extended release pill.. Its not bad, but I think I prefer the Phentermine. Phentermine did better on controlling my apetite.. this one is does a little bit, but I deffinately have to put more effort into watching my food or "turning down" foods. Which is probably a good thing, that away I actually learn to avoid unhealthy foods and go more for the one I should be eating. Im really hoping I get as good as results with Bontril, as I did the Phentermine.. Anyways.. Im new to the group as well as the site. Im hoping to make good friends here and beable to have a good success story with all of you guys' help!

I just started taking Bontril 105 mgs last week as well as a B12 injection. I lost 3.4 pounds the first week not great but ok. I think I like phen 37.5 better but the diet doc "says" Bontril is stronger so they want me to stay on it for a month then switch "down" to Phen. I hope ya'll keep up with your progress so we can compare notes!

I am currently taking it, 35mg. I only take 1 35mg pill in the morning and it keeps me on track all day. Paired with a low carb diet, B-12 shots, vitamins and water pills on weigh in days I have lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks, faster then my Dr. would like, but it has me motivated. I do not get the jitters like I have from other over the counter diet pills. I am seeing great results, good luck!

Well Ihave been taking the Bontril 105 mgs plus my B12 shots for 3 weeks now and I have only lost 5 pounds! I am drinking 2 liters of water a day and exercising 3 times a week so what gives?? Anyone else hating Bontril? Thank God next week I will get prescribed phen!

In order not to get constipated you have to drink ALOT of water. Make sure you try to get a little bit more fiber in your meals as well. Your stool still may not be soft, formed, and S shaped like it's supposed to, but atleast you'll be able to go!

I am sure this question has been asked , but I am new on here and not sure where I can find a question and answer search. But I would like to know how long does the phentermine stay in the blood. I don't want it showing up in blood tests. Thanks

BeverlyJo, I am very suspicious of drugs sold over the internet. My dr. wrote me a script for phen. since my blood pressure was okay, he was happy to do it !
