It seems a lot of people recommend Phentermine, so I asked my dietitian about it, but she was worried because I am on a lot of pills.  So I figured I'd ask the rest of you, do you think I'd be okay?  Should I ask my doctor anyway?  I am on a lot of pills for depression and whatnot, but think that maybe I could work with my doctors to work it all out so they don't interact or anything.   What do you think?

My doc has told me I am probably not a good candidate for phen. He hasnt ruled it out, but he thinks it might not help based on what I eat now. Have you taken a look at how many calories you are eating now?? It might be a case where increased activity might be a better option than other pilll for you... just a thought.

You should definetly talk to your dr about it, he'll know the interactions and so forth.

I would ask either your doctor or a pharmacist about the interaction of your pills if you added Phen.

Ask the doctor that prescribed your pills for depression -- some of those cause weight gain -- maybe see if there is another pill that would work just as well -- can't remember the anti-depressant that the side effect is weight loss righ now.

My primary care doctor prescribed me Phen because I am under a lot of stress with my son's illness and was just eating to eat.  He knows me well enough to know that Phen would help me better than an anti-depressant.

But I do agree -- Phen is not a magic pill -- you do have to learn new habits with food and exercise -- all the Phen does for me is make me NOT think about eating all the time so I can make good choices.

Good Luck!!!

In order not to get constipated you have to drink ALOT of water. Make sure you try to get a little bit more fiber in your meals as well. Your stool still may not be soft, formed, and S shaped like it's supposed to, but atleast you'll be able to go!

I am sure this question has been asked , but I am new on here and not sure where I can find a question and answer search. But I would like to know how long does the phentermine stay in the blood. I don't want it showing up in blood tests. Thanks

BeverlyJo, I am very suspicious of drugs sold over the internet. My dr. wrote me a script for phen. since my blood pressure was okay, he was happy to do it !
