Mine, personally, is outside. However, I do have Leslie's "Walk and Jog" DVD and I have a trampoline that I "jog" on. Since June 2005 I have logged 5.6 million "steps" walked!! :-)

I prefer to walk outside....but if the weather doesn't allow, then I love to walk indoors.

Hi everyone!!! I started this group since I didn't see one for walking and that is my passion. The only exercise I have ever been able to stick with.. :-) I am so glad to you all have joined!!!

I would love to walk outside but here in Oklahoma it seems it is either to hot or to cold..lol But if I had a walking buddy I am sure I would do it more often. I use a Leslie tape 5 days per week, just started using a treadmill about 20 minutes several times per week, and step in place, walking around my house..lol 6 days per week to reach my goal of 12000 steps per day. I would love to work up to 15,000 steps per day!

I try to walk in my dinner time. We only get 30 minutes but can get about a mile and a half in each day. I guess I average about 3 times a week depending on the weather. I heard recently that walking burns more body fat than running. I dont know if this is true but is sounds good if you enjoy walking.

Keep on moving!

I walk outside on my lunch break almost every day. The loop that I walk is about 3 miles and takes 40 to 60 minutes. My work is in the middle of a redwood forest, so I love walking outside there. Now that I've gotten in the habit of walking, I love it, and I'm kicking myself that I worked there for two years before starting this.

Thanks for starting this group!

I love walking - it is the only form of exercise that I do and enjoy - I tried jogging but didn't really stick to it. I have a Fitbug - www.fitbug.co.uk - which is like a pedometer and it measures how many steps/aerobics steps/calories burnt/km. I was up to 25,000 to 30,000 steps a day - but then I lost my motivation. I am trying to get it back now. I walk too and from work which takes me an hour each way and I walk during my lunch hour. My diet has taken a beating over the past few months - but I'm hoping to get that sorted again in the next few weeks.

Just Between Us

I have dogs so I have no excuse not to go out, although they dont like going out in the rain, god I love those dogs! ;)
I have been out this morning and my pedometer said over 10,000 steps and just over 4 miles, so I just need to keep that up!
One tip I have is get a pedometer with a radio, I was walking around the countryside listening to radio 2!

I prefer to walk outside but I have a treadmill too. I use a pedometer which helps me keep track of actual steps taken.

Lady Sue

I prefer to walk the dogs outdoors, on a local wooded 4 mile trail. When the weather doesn't cooperate, I go to a mall nearby, and walk 4-5 miles. I also use WATP 5 mile DVD, and have a BowFlex Treadclimber, so I have zero excuses!

I wear my pedometer daily, and average 7+ miles daily. When walking on the trail, I use my Nike+ on the iPod, for extra motivation.
