Hello ladies!!!

OK - here's the deal. On March 30th 2008 I turn 35. I WILL lose 50lbs by then. It's my mid-thirties birthday present to myself. If I reach my goal I promised myself a new tattoo which I designed over a year ago (I have a nice dolphin right now) but I was too grossed out by my appearance to blow the money on something I would never show off. I will post pics of my current and future inks in a few days. I also get a new wardrobe to go with my new look and hopefully new job. It's going to be tough but I was hot in my twenties (at least that was what my hubby says ;) and I want to be there again. So here WE GO!!!!!!

My goal is to drop 50 pounds by my 35th birthday too! I have until May 16th to do it.

I turn 35 on Feb. 11. I have my last 10 lbs to go. The goal is that they will be off before then.

Hey, it's only 13 weeks until your birthday....healthy weight loss is only 1.5 to 2 pounds per week. Just aim for 25 pounds and then when you get to your b-day aim for 25 more over the next couple of months. You would really have to resort to some unhealthy things to do 50 lbs in that short time period!

I've lost almost 80 pounds so far. I try to now set realistic goals for myself. It's been a process and has involved some patience. But it has been totally worth it! I lost 1-2 pounds a week and it took me over a year, but slow and steady is the healthy way to win the race.

I agree with AmyNOLA. I'm a big believer in setting goals...but I would hate to see you disappointed or even ill because this one was just too ambitious. I've done every diet known to man, and the thing I keep coming back to is that sensible eating with exercise is the only way to succeed. Sometimes that plan doesn't work as quickly as we would like, but in the end it is in your body's best interest to do it that way. I do wish you the best of luck!
