Since I started this, I should probably go ahead and introduce myself...

2 years ago I began on my weight loss journey with Jenny Craig and the gym. I reached my first goal this June, losing 91.2 pounds, and pressed on to lose 98 pounds. I just got back from Mexico where I have gained some of it back, but am working to get it off with a vengeance. Ideally I'd like to lose another 15 pounds to bring me to an even 135, and even more ideally I'd like to do that by my 30th birthday.

I live in a suburb of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I've been married for 7 years, have 2 cats and am childfree by choice. I work full time as a paramedic, so I've also done this battling crazy shift work schedules. My fav workouts are step and spinning classes, my fav healthy snack is skinny cow ice cream sandwiches (in chocolate mint please).

Enough about me! Tell us about you!

OM Word! I just logged in, typed my message, hit POST, and the whole message went *poof* That happens often, and it's enough to drive one mad! :)

OK... round two...

Right now I am a phlebotomist at a hospital town. Our company in contracted in, and we do all of the labs for the 500 bed, Level 1 trauma center. I'm a prior Air Force medic. Right now my husband is AF, and I enjoy the side of being a dependant.

As for my weight. I was always a small woman up until about age 29. (115-125's) I started gaining and just woke up one morning 175lbs. (yea right) :)

I never stopped exercising, I just started liking food. I got big by the "this one meal won't hurt, this one sweet won't hurt, I'll get serious tomorrow" mentality.

I am doing a program called Body for Life for weight loss. It's pretty basic. I like the discipline it teaches me. Not only in eating and exercise, but in life management as well.

I'm not real picky when it comes to exercise. I pretty much like it all. (except running) My favorite is spinning. (especially the X-bike)

I am a CNA and I work at a small assisted living facility. I am also just about to start the LPN program, albeit if I can EVER get past a math class(grr!) lol
I am married with 5 children. I live in a very small town in Idaho.
I was always petite in high school and always feared being overweight like my mother so I frequently excercised everynight like I was obsessed. I had managed to keep the extra pounds off until I got pg with my 4th child and added more with the 5th. Last year I started actively trying to loose the weight and it is not as easy as it once was.
I know I need to get to the gym, but finances are extremely tight right now, so hopefully in about a month, things will turn around so I can get there.

Hi...I have been an LPN for the last 14 years. I have 2 daughters ages 7-8. I've been married 12 years and this year, I underwent 4 major surgeries, including a bilateral mastectomy and DIEP FLAP breast reconstruction. I have gained almost 25lbs in the 9 months I've been preoccupied with health issues. But, I'm ready to shed the "flubber" and get back into my jeans and out of my stretchy pants! lol I had started a jog/walk schedule last year where you walk/jog 30 second intervals and within 6 weeks I could jog 20 minutes at a time....that was the most fit I think I've ever been and it gave me amazing buns! ( And what woman doesn't want a J.Lo. butt?! ) So, that is what I'm going to start doing again..I know I can do it, I just need to keep myself motivated and if anyone wants to jump in with me..then c'mon! The more the merrier! lol Happy Holidays Everyone!

WickedWahine

Hi. I am a SAHM (by choice) since the birth of my youngest child. I have two children: a boy who is almost 15 years old and a girl age 7 years. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart and we've been together 17 years as of last month. My husband is in the Navy and we live in the Jacksonville, FL area. As for my weight... I have always fought my weight since the birth of my son. Things went really crazy with my weight after I lost my eldest daughter (she passes away in 1/2002). With the grief came depression and then the emotional eating. I finally decided to do something about this when I saw my picture with my nephew this past Thanksgiving. I have never been more disgusted with myself than I was then. So here I am.

Hello! I'm Deb, and turned 32 last week. I'm a single mom of 2 girls, ages 2 1/2 and 4 1/2. Lately, I've been fighting to keep on with any sort of program. I lost 20 pounds in 2006 on Jenny Craig. In 2007, I lost another 20 on South Beach, but have since gained back 15 of those. I'm sick of all the failure and frustration I've put myself through. So next week, I'm starting a doctor-supervised plan with the hopes of finally finding success and more support than I can give myself.

Hi, I'm Amy and I'm 34 years old. I've lost 78 pounds with the Lap-Band procedure. I am married and have 5 year old twins. I am trying to lose my last 10 pounds and adopt a healthier lifestyle that includes exercise. I know that I will have to lose the last 10 with some exercise and I will need exercise to maintain my new figure. I also need some toning up for my thighs and my hind end.

After the weight loss, I opted for a tummy tuck and a breast induction. I am really happy with the amazing results. I have a whole new self confidence and much healthier self concept. It has bled in to my life in every area....marriage, parenting, work.

This is a whole new way of life. The Band was a tool that helped, but I still track every single item I eat every single day. I write it in a journal and I add up the Weight Watchers points. I really like having control with food again.

I'm ready to start making some changes with my health. This will be my first day to start using this website.

Hi Everyone. I just turned 30 in January and I'm not accepting it very well. I have a son that just turned 4 and daughter that is almost 14 months. I've struggled with my weight since high school when I went on a nasty thing called depo provera. Say hello to weight gain. I gained about 60 pounds over the course of a year and a half and it refused to budge after. I hate myself for making that choice so long ago. My husband and I have been married for almost 9 years and together since high school. we lost our first son august 2, 2002. He was still born. I still wish that I had died with him that day sometimes. I'm very blessed to have my 2 healthy children now though. I would like to gain acceptance and enjoy my thirties but first I have to lose this weight again and love myself. So that is why I am here.
