Here I am on my track to a slimmer me.  Educating myself on healthy eating and loosing fat.  I realized last year, that soon I'll be 30 and I refused to be overweight.  I joined a weight clinic, and found myself with  I'm grateful that I have lost over 30 pounds since I started being active.  I started doing Exercise TV on Demand, and found myself doing 'The biggest loser' segments.  I can relate to it, since it's not skinny girls doing something I can never do in the first place.

Well, today after watching a clip from the biggest looser tv series, it hit me why I have been avoiding that show.  Whenever I hear the contestants stories, I get reminded of my late husband.  He passed away 2 years ago from congestive heart failure.  He was a big guy, and I feel somewhat guilty for not encouraging a better lifestyle for the both of us.

Now the more I loose weight, the guiltier I feel.  I keep thinking of a better life for him.  A healthy one.  I know he did it to himself, but I shoulda done better.  It's hard for me to see myself thin now.  I find it unfair... I get to live... It's not fair...

I still don't see God's purpose in this...  Nothing good has come of it either...

I won't give up, but am I being selfish?

If your heart calls for some spiritual consolation, I find this prayer has helped many.

Dearest Jesus, who cried at the death of your friend
and taught that they who mourn shall be comforted,
grant me the comfort of your presence in my loss.
Send Your Holy Spirit to direct me
lest I make hasty or foolish decisions.
Send Your Spirit to give me courage
lest through fear I recoil from living.
Send Your Spirit to bring me your peace
lest bitterness, false guilt, or regret takes root in my heart.

The Lord has given.
The Lord has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.

O sweet mother Mary in Heaven,
who knew the sadness of mourning those your heart loved most,
Jesus, your Son,
and Joseph, your devoted spouse,

Pray for me to our Lord in my time of loss.
