MrsCookii

Hi everyone, My name is Tyisha aka MrsCookii I'm on here looking for advice, motivation, and support from women that can relate to what I'am saying or going through. Someone that can just try to be a friend and motivate me a little more. My boyfriend tries his best to motivate me but he is skinny and can lose weight when he wants with no problem(its not fare LOL). I just rather a women that is struggling or was struggling like me! So if you believe you can help me then keep reading to hear my story. Two years ago my boyfriend got shot trying to protect me when someone broke into our house in the middle of the night. He damn near lost his life and suffered in pain for months in the hospital only because he was protecting me. So I blamed myself and that's when I started to gain alot of weight. At the beginning I weighed only 160 and now I weigh almost 250 pounds and I tried just about everything doctors, exercise, diets pills(like cleansers, fat burner, and appetite pills), and all kinds of diets. The doctors just keep saying its because I have post traumatic stress disorder and I'm like Duh tell me something I don't know. So just to sum this all up I'm currently on diet that consist with me taking phentermine once a day, me drinking 3-4 chike nutrition meal replacement shakes a day, and 1 frozen dinner(smart ones) a day and so far so good. If someone can please give me some advice on things that worked for them please post it, motivation and support as well please! Thanks everyone!

Ms.Skinny2be

Hey, Well I'm kind of in the same position as you, except my boyfriend did not save my life. That is such an amazing story, and don't blame yourself any man would have done that. Anyway, I started gaining weight when I started dating my boyfriend and he is just like yours can eat whatever and then walk three steps to burn it off, me on the other hand not so much. He is great support but I feel like I just need somebody who it is hard to lose weight for since they could relate better. But I would love to be weight loss buddies and support each other. Oh and for food, my boyfriends mom is a nutrioinist, and she always tells my pick a day out of the week which ever but only one day and give yourself something as a treat for your good work, since depriving yourself will just make everything worse (but within reason, don't have like a big mac with a milk shake, large fries and ranch dressing) give yourself a small brownie of a mini candy bar. Any way, My name is Aubrey. Get back to me if you want.

Hi I am Amber. I also have trouble loosing weight. But mine is due to lack of exercise and poor eating habits. I have always had trouble with my motivation so I joined this blog to look for help as well. Your story is amazing and I know you will do well! So far through blogging, exercise and diet I have lost 1 dress size!

Hi Tyiisha~

First, I'm sad to hear about what happened to your life.  The diet you are currently on is very similar to what I was on when I initially lost all of my weight.  Medically supervised-initially protein shakes, very low carb, and Phen.  I called Phen the 'magic pill' because it helped establish new habits since I wasn't hungry for food.  It changed my life from "Living to Eat" to "Eating to Live".  The old habits did come back (even with the Phen) of wanting to eat something that looks good, not because I was hungry.  That's when I had to make a choice...I wasn't hungry but I wanted to eat that tasty treat.  One of the things that would stop me was knowing how much I had lost already and didn't want to break the momentum.  The second thing I would say to myself was 'I already know how it tastes' or 'I can have that another time but not now'.  That's just a bit of what I learned.

I do not take Phen any longer and have gained all my weight back...and what I learned from that I can share at another time.  I am restarting the high protein/low carb eating again...weigh in on Tuesday.  I'm looking for new buddies for motivation and support as well.  Send me a message if you would like to keep chatting .

Hi ladies,
I also don't have any reason for my weight but i like that we are all searching for motivation. I have been on a diet for a while now and lost roughly 2 and a half stone. However i have hit a wall and cant seem to shift anymore. I don't want to loose much more but i am still not where i need to be.
I have this awful fear that if i don't eat the food that's there, it may be gone tomorrow and recently i have just been eating non stop.
I am intending to join the police force so have to get my fitness levels up and wanted some sort of high protein/low carb diet. I just cant seem to get one that suits me, or rather enough recipes so that i am not eating eggs every day!
Any advice and motivation is greatly appreciate!
Bex :)

I'm new here! I want to loose weight. People say I'm not fat, but for me I'm bigger than I should be. Hope to find friends here that can help me keep motivated. I want to be more confident in myself, and I thought loosing weight would help me.

Hit a plateau it seems in my weight loss. I normally walk on the treadmill and am starting interval training to walk my first 5K soon. Any suggestions on ramping things up a bit?
