Hey All,

I was just wondering what plans people are following? Calorie counting? weight watchers? slimming world?

I'm just calorie counting ta the moment although I am considering joining a rosemary conley class. Only problem is, the closest one to me ot 12.5 miles away since all my really local ones closed down!

What do you find helps with your cravings? I seem to always be craving something, and it's never something that's good for me!!!

I am unable to follow plans and being a man I couldnt be seen at a WW group or similar, although Ive been told that men do go!

I make sure I have a bowl of cornflakes every morning without fail, I would like to do the 5-6 meals a day but im not organised enough to, i usually skip dinner and head out for a fat burning walk.

I know that if i was following a plan then I could loose the weight more quickly and as i get into the last third of my loss I think I will have to start on some type of plan so that I can continue fast enough that I feel im making headway and dont get board with dieting.

One tip I have for "new year" dieters is that all of the super markets reduce there low cost diet meals. This year you could pick up a microwaveable dinner for £1. This got me started because I ate these for the month of january which reduced my calories but also redued my meal sizes. I dont know how balanced these are as meals but I wouldnt eat them for longer than january as they arent a substitute for real food. I think they go up to £2.50 in Feb and by then they have done the job of reducing your portion size. Eat them out of a small bowl slowly makes it feel like a bigger dinnner "you already know this".

Keep on slimming!

Im calorie counting. Its easy to do with EP's food log. I get to have a treat if its within my calorie limit which is 1000 a day.

I am not following any plan other than the concept of 'clean eating'. I am a vegan, but there is all sorts of rubbish vegans can eat so that doesn't necessarily help. I try to eat whole foods and avoid processed foods, and of course don't eat anything containing meat or dairy.

If you're interested in clean eating, I recommend a book called 'Skinny Bitch' or Tosca Reno's 'Clean Eating.'

Im not following a plan either. I just try not to snack any more. Chocolate and doughnuts are my weakness. But I think exercise is the best way to lose weight combined with the sensible eating. I have just taken up karate.

Hiya - Right let's get this show on the road shall we! I found this site the other day and I think it's great...loving the trackers. This seems a lovely place to help motivate people and have a little help in return.
