Hi Mandy. I'm also trying to lose some weight and I'm nursing at the same time. It's really hard. I was losing weight just by breastfeeding and I got to a point in which I'm stuck. I just went down to 160 pounds, I can't lose more weight. I'm frustrated. I'm going to try this new thing that is cutting sugar and I haven't drink any soda for more than two weeks. I usually just exercise 30 minutes on my elliptical machine, but today I tried to exercise for 90 minutes. I can't stop eating because I wont be able to produce milk. My baby is five and half months old. I'm going to lose weight because I promise to my baby.

I found it EXTREMLY difficult to lose weight while breast beeding. I thought i was the only one since I heard about all these people who say breastfeeding made them lose weight. Yeah right, not all of us! lol.

I'm sorry I don't have any advice to offer, since I was never able to successfully lose weight while breastfeeding. I dropped it like crazy once I stopped and was able to diet and exercise hard without my breast killing me! ouch! But sometimes It's nice just to know you're not the only one out there that has ever gone through it, you know?

Best of luck to you!

I lost some wieght while breastfeeding. I am at that point which I am stuck. But, I realised walking with the baby helps a lot to both of us. It is a good exercise for me. And the baby gets fresh air. I guess if I walk daily and eat regularly I might start to loose weight again.

My weight zoomed off till that last 10 lbs, and then every time I dieted, trying to lose it, my milk supply would be awful. I finally gave in and joined Weight Watchers, and so far in the last 2 weeks, I've lost 6 lbs and my milk supply is still awesome. It's really helping me with the portion control, while still allowing me enough food to keep the milk going.

Hi.  I have a 2 month old.  I am also trying to lose weight while breastfeeding.  I'm doing weight watchers and I am losing some, but only about a half a pound a week.  At this rate I will lose it all in 2 years.  Lol.  I lost weight after my first son and it came off really quickly, but I was already done breastfeeding.  In the past 2 days I have cut out sweets and sodas and I do notice a difference.  I guess we will see.

I gained ten pounds since my second child and I can't seem to lose it no matter how I try to improve my diet. I just started exercising again so I hope I see a difference soon.

I have five more weeks to go and then I will be heading this way! I'm not breastfeeding, so I'm hoping that will let me get on track faster. I originally lost 83 lbs. with Jenny Craig and I'm going back!
