I am new to this site and need all the help and motivation I can get. Would love to hear how others are trying to lose their weight to maybe give me more options.

I count calories. I don't have much time to write, but here's a couple of quick links:

your weight = 150
times 12 = 1800 - this is the number of calories to eat per day to maint your weight.
minus 500 = 1500 - this is the number of calories to eat per day to lose weight.

Write everything down. (You'll be embarrassed by the amount of food you used to eat! it's crazy!)

Sign up for a local 5k. It's 3 miles, and you can walk/run it, but it'll motivate you to get going. No one wants to look silly at a public event, so you'll be forced to train. (plus it's usually charity run and good for the community)

I gained ten pounds since my second child and I can't seem to lose it no matter how I try to improve my diet. I just started exercising again so I hope I see a difference soon.

I have five more weeks to go and then I will be heading this way! I'm not breastfeeding, so I'm hoping that will let me get on track faster. I originally lost 83 lbs. with Jenny Craig and I'm going back!
