Ok, so everyone's heard of Alli....has anyone here tried it??

My best friend tried it last fall, and it really did help her drop a few extra pounds then she would have just dieting. Yes, she was dieting, and running (she just ran her first 1/2 marathon!) Yes, she experienced watery stools and increased gas. I know I'm totally grossing some of you out, but that is how this product works. It binds some of the fat you normally would have digested and gets rid of it before you do...hence the "fatty" "greasy" stools. Eww...ok, I'm grossing myself out.

The biggest thing she said she got from taking it was the immediate reprecussions from eating "bad for you" foods. Like, we don't see the immediate preprecussion if we sit and eat a cheeseburger, or fries...we will over a few weeks as our butts get bigger from accumulating it, but nothing really immediate, so we "indulge" here and there....which turns into more here then there, am I right girls? She described it as a immediate physical action for eating wrong, which in turn, detured her from eating wrong, when she otherwise would have "indulged" more here or there, you know?

I was just wondering if anyone else has tried it and what your experiences with it are? I think I'd like to try it. What do you think?

Thanks!
Amy

Honestly, I'm afraid of things like that. I have... erm, shall we say... digestion issues anyway, I'd probably stuck at home the whole time I used it! I'd rather just eat healthy of my own accord. Maybe though, if I just had that last like 10 lbs to go (and I wasn't nursing) I might try it. I'm just afraid I'd poop my pants in Wal-Mart or something like that! LOL, YUCK!

My husband and I are using it. It does exactly what your friend says it does. I do not have as much of the "side effect" you are refering to as my husband. But then agian I eat better than my husband does. LOL I just cut out fried foods and use olive oil instead of regular cooking oil..just eat better. If you do "cheat" you do pay for it. And I like you friend do not go there because of that. It really does help yourself second guess your food choices and in turn helps me learn to eat right. My husband cheated one time and had a accident...LOL he would kill me if he knew I said so but I have to let you know so you know all the effects. I haven't had that issue...thank goodness!!! That was when he first started it and has had no more issues since. He has lost about 15 pounds and has been on it about 3 weeks. I just started it and have lost about 7 pounds in 2 weeks. The results are good if you use it like your suppose to. It is FDA approved which was why we decieded to use Alli. It doesn't give you the jitters like other diet pills and for that I love! I hope this helps instead of scaring you...LOL!!

Ok, so I've been using Alli for about a week now, and I'm liking it. I guess I had scared myself into thinking I was going to have explosive "results", but really, it's not bad at all. I guess I eat healthy enough. I definatly noticed myself starting to lean on it though.

I was "scared" into eating healthy early on, and as the week progressed and I was pleasntly surprised by the "treatment effects" not glueing me to the potty, I began to feel more brave in my cuisine choices. End result, being not as much weightloss as I could have had I stuck to being really good with eating (as well as increased "effects" too)

Learning from the first week, I'm going to stay more strick with my eating to see bigger numbers at the end of next week. After all, I paid beaucoup bucks for the product, I don't want to be flushing my money away (literally!)

Just want to give you all an update.
Good Luck!

I gained ten pounds since my second child and I can't seem to lose it no matter how I try to improve my diet. I just started exercising again so I hope I see a difference soon.

I have five more weeks to go and then I will be heading this way! I'm not breastfeeding, so I'm hoping that will let me get on track faster. I originally lost 83 lbs. with Jenny Craig and I'm going back!
