Okay, so as I mentioned in my blog I recently found out that I have a curve in my lower spine.  Bending over, picking up heavy things etc.. hurt like I couldn't believe; it feels like arthiritis.    What am I supposed to do??  I need to lose weight desperately..  Last year I lost 53 lbs in 5 months with phentermine, but gained it back within 7 after I stopped taking it...   I'm not sure if packing the weight back on so fast has something to do with it hurting but I really need help!

Hi JustWanttobeslim!

I too suffer from (lower) back pain as a result of a wreck I had 8 years ago.  I slowly packed the weight on until I was 22lbs away from being 300lbs...I was literally having to grab hold of the edge of the bed to get rolled over. I was working as certified nurse aide at the time and it became very difficult to transfer residents of the facility I was working in because my back just couldn't take it. I was miserable to the point of tears every night when I got home and every morning was hard too. I don't think that the amount of time it took to regain the weight made your back hurt more, but rather the amount of the weight period did. It sounds like we are in the same boat. I have lost 30lbs so far and already I feel a big difference. Not only does my back not hurt when I sit or stand for long periods of time, but I went from using 2 pillows at night to just 1. And I can roll over without grabbing hold of the edge of the bed OR reaching for my husband's shoulder...
Good Luck Hun, I def. have felt your pain!

I know its hard! But don't give up! I also have an injury thats a major pain in the rear. My heel was shattered in a car accident and luckily they were able to reconstruct it. I am starting to develop arthritis in my ankle because of it. I am in high hopes that getting the weight off will enable me to do more and feel better. Before I eat something I know I shouldn't, I try to imagine myself walking at a water park, or busch gardens in the summertime with friends laughing and having fun and not feeling the pain anymore. I know the only way I have a shot at feeling better is to get weight off. Good Luck to you on losing the pounds. I have found that smaller meals more often satisfy me better because I always want to eat..lol..If I can be of any help let me know ;)
