BDS - Day 4

So far, I've failed to read my cards daily, but I DO have them if I need them.

Here's Day 4:

Give Yourself Credit

Learn to recognize all of the positive things that you're doing each day, so that when you make a mis-state you don't blow it out of proportion.

Ok, so this one is going to be tough for me.  I can be a hard ass to myself for sure.  And one of the sabotaging thoughts in the book was written for me, something along the lines of, I can't give myself credit for something I should be doing anyway.  We had awards in the Navy for doing our job (above and beyond our pay check) and it always irritated me and I'm not sure why.

So, this one is going to be difficult.  What can I give myself credit for so far?

Losing 35 pounds and reaching half way - Well done!  (god that sounds cheesy saying it to myself)
Not giving up on my diet after a three day eating whatever I wanted (to a degree) last week while at home - Good job!

Edit:  I went to the gym last night to get in my walk since I didn't do it in the am - GO ME!  (this one I don't feel weird saying well done to myself)  :)

Ok, that's enough credit, I feel squirmy.  Happy Friday, ladies!  :)

Well done to youuuu!!

I'd add for not overeating when you gave up smoking... not heard you mention that in a while... are you still off the ciggies??

(That was you wasn't it)?!

I'm going crazy, remember so excuse my stupidity if it wasn't you!!

LOL xx

Yay

Wow! You're at your half way!!! That is awesome! And all of the things you listed are sucesses. You are doing so well! I am proud of you!

this one

This one was REALLY important for me.  It's so easy to focus on negatives, but when you focus on positives, it snowballs.   It's a good thing, and it's OK to be proud of yourself.  This is hard work!
