Challenge Week 2

I lost two more pounds this week.  I am excited that I am almost down to 230.  It is going well so far and I hope that it continues like this.

One thing I am noticing is that I need to add some regular exercise in again.  For the last month I have counted all the housekeeping work as my cardio because I work up such a sweat, and it has been getting me results, but now I am getting used to it and I notice it is not as difficult for me.  So even though it is still good to have that movement, I think I will need to start adding some walking and exercise dvds to the challenge so that I can keep up this momentum.

Great Start to the challenge

I lost 2 pounds the first week of the challenge.  I am very excited about it.  I made my exercise goals and stayed within my calorie range, although during the weekend some of those calories could have been healthier ones.  I am excited to go through another week.  I hope I can have the same results this next week.  It looks like the rest of my team all either lost or maintained this week too, so we should be sitting pretty in the challenge ranking.

Here's to the second week being as successful as the first!

Biggest Loser Challenge Pt. 3

Part 3 of the challenge started today.  I am excited to get started.  So far this morning I have done my exercise, 35 minutes Yoga Booty Ballet and 30 minutes of WATP.  I haven't eaten breakfast yet, but I'm getting ready to make some oatmeal.  I weighed in at 235, same as what I ended part 2 at.  I am hoping to really be able to lose consistently during this challenge and be able to see more of a difference when it is over.  I also really want to help our team take first place this time!

Yay! Someone noticed!

My size 24 pants were all too big, so I went and bought a size 22!  I am excited that they fit and I found some t-shirts for work too.  I got a new bra and one nice shirt to wear with my skirt for church.  I was really excited to have some new clothes, and at church today two different people asked if I had lost weight!  I was thrilled, because when i was trying on clothes I still felt like I looked the same as I did 39 pounds ago.  I am excited to start on my next challenge and maybe be able to it into a size 20 when I'm done!

The Rest of this Challenge

The Challenge ends tomorrow and I have not been doing well keeping track here with my progress.  I have been doing okay with the challenge though.  I did not make my goal, but I did make progress.  I am now at 235, which is 11 or 12 pounds that I lost during the challenge.  I am starting a new challenge in a few weeks and I am very excited about it.  It has been a great help to have the challenge team to check in with each day and to be accountable with my weigh ins.

Week 7 of the challenge

This week brought a one pound loss to bring me to 239.  I think I barely made it though, the scale was kind of going all week between 239 and 240.  The weekend was a little rough.  I did it though and I think it is all the exercise that is making a difference.  I feel a lot better too!

Halfway through the challenge

We're halfway through the challenge, and so far I think it's been good.  I have followed my exercise plan, plus added some extra that I hadn't planned on in the beginning.  The eating has been off and on, but I'm getting a handle on that too.  I do believe that is going to be a lifelong struggle.  I am probably not going to reach my ambitious goal of 222 by the end of the challenge, but I have lost seven pounds and whatever else I lose in these next weeks will be great.  Then I can re-evaluate and set some new goals.  Maybe there will be another challenge, I don't know.  If not, I will make my own challenge.  I'm ready to keep going with the rest of this challenge and see how far I can get!

Week 6 of the Challenge

At the end of week 5 I weighed in with a 2 pound loss!  Yeah!  All my hard work paying off.  Week six went about the same with a lot of exercise and staying in calorie range, and trying not to forget my water.  When I go without I really do tend to notice a difference now.  The end of week 6 brought another two  pound loss, so I am now at 240..

Week 5 of the Challenge

This week I worked really hard.  I kept up my walk away the pounds two mile dvd, but I also added yoga booty ballet.  It's fun. It's got dance for cardio and ballet for strength and yoga for flexibility. There are four workouts and I can't do any of them the entire way, but I got started on them to add a little more to my workouts and it worked.  I lost two more pounds this week, so I'm going to keep working on it in addition to my regular work out.  No pressure, if it's too hard or I'm too tired, I'll stop.

The food thing is still a little hard.  I am mainly trying to just eat healthier things and let go of the junk.  It works pretty good.  This week was mine and my daughter's birthday, though, so I did have a piece of cake.  No ice cream, just the one piece of cake.

Week 4 of Challenge

This week went a lot better. My mother in law had sent me a diabetic exchange list that my father in law was given, and I tried using that. It was more calories than what was recommended for me, but I usually didn't eat everything on the list, so I came out okay on calories.

I didn't do the two mile WATP dvd like I had planned, but my in-laws decided to come and visit, and I had a lot of housecleaning to do. I hadn't done a lot of deep cleaning since November when I had the double vision problem, so I had plenty to do. I worked really hard to get things dusted and getting rid of clutter that had accumulated. I counted it as my cardio and I guess it worked because I lost two pounds. I was really excited about it.

Starting week 5 today, and I did great on calories and water and I did 3 miles on the WATP dvd. It felt really good and then tonight I did the Yoga Booty ballet cardio cabaret. It was a great workout, more of a high impact aerobics. It went by really fast. I think I'm going to try and get some extra workouts in this week so that I can hopefully lose more. Having lost again helps me feel motivated to do some more
