My cholesterol is down 10 points!!!!&nbsp; My b12 levels were way down so I am now taking a supplement.&nbsp; Maybe that helped with my weight loss.&nbsp; Also, I saw Dr Oz on Oprah the other day and he was talking about fiber.&nbsp; Even with all the veggies I am now eating, I don't think I get in all of the fiber I am supposed to.&nbsp; So I am also taking some fiber supplements.&nbsp; Don't know if the B12 and the Fiber played a big part in the loss - I really don't care - I am still doing them!!!!&nbsp; Worked out 5 times last week.&nbsp; Supposed to do 6 - not killing myself about it though.&nbsp; I started the Biggest Loser 2 workout DVD.&nbsp; Don't like it as much as the 1st one - but will continue to use it since it shakes up the routine.</p> <p>Job interview this afternoon!!&nbsp; I am really excited.&nbsp; Had a one-on-one with my manager' manager last week.&nbsp; Apparently he has seen almost the entire &quot;team&quot; - I use that word very loosely.&nbsp; The whole place is falling apart.&nbsp; I was honest - told him that I am looking for another job&nbsp;because I cannot deal with all of this drama.&nbsp; This place has the worst atmosphere than anywhere I have ever been.&nbsp; I will find my peace - no doubt.</p> <p>This week I will keep it up!!!&nbsp; I am so happy to say goodby to the 290s!&nbsp;&nbsp;<img src="http://www.extrapounds.com/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/teeth_smile.gif" />&nbsp;&nbsp;Pretty soon I will say adios to 280s!!!&nbsp; I shouldn't allow myself to get upset - it is just so hard not to.&nbsp; I was off for the past 5 days, I go back and by 9:00 I am pissed again.&nbsp; I really need to try to relax and just focus on what I need to do.&nbsp; </span>Such progress in such a month, I am really proud of myself.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Stayed on plan throughout the day.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>We had a luncheon at work yesterday and they brought in Jason&rsquo;s Deli.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I ordered a grilled chicken salad, no cheese, no dressing, no croutons.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I put my JC salad dressing on it and it was so good.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I think there was too much meat though.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I left some on my plate &ndash; hopefully it was enough.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"> <p>&nbsp;</p> </p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Last night I got a new exercise DVD through Netflix.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I thought I can do this.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I started it and only lasted about 15 minutes.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>What a waste.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I definitely have no rhythm.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I cannot side step, double kick, and pump my arms at the same time.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I can&rsquo;t even hip shake and my hips are the biggest part of me!!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I think this is a family trait &ndash; my sister used to hula dance and her teacher would tell her, &ldquo;I can teach you to dance, but I cannot teach you rhythm.&rdquo;<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Wow, we are cursed!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I will keep trying though.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Exercise is exercise who cares what you look like doing it in your house.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I finished my &ldquo;workout&rdquo; with the 30 minute WATP brisk walk.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Usually I am okay after the WATP, but that with the other stuff just killed me.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Attention non-rhythm people &ndash; do not use the DVD, The Firm, Cardio Dance Slimdown.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>This will confuse you and make you feel lost.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I had my weigh in Saturday morning &ndash; down 3 pounds!!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I was so happy.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>That night I started thinking, hmmm&hellip;this Saturday I had fajitas and cake and I lost 3 lbs this week, the week before I stayed on plan and lost 1.4 lbs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>So this week I will have a burger (and fries) and I will also lose 3 lbs this week, right?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>So I went and had a burger and boy was it good.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Now it&rsquo;s Wednesday and I am at the same weight as Saturday.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; <img src="http://www.extrapounds.com/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/smiley_png.png" />&nbsp;</span>I do not want that burger to mess up the rest of the week.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I need to work my ass off today, tomorrow, and Friday to get some calories burned.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I cannot not lose this week!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>That is totally unacceptable!!!</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"> <p>&nbsp;</p> </p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">I am only 1.5 pounds from 300!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Then it stopped for about two weeks.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Now thanks to that Tropical Depression/Storm, who knows &ndash; we are getting hit again.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>We asked for rain and we sure did get it.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Hopefully it will pass us and everyone on the coast soon.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>This is the first August I have ever experienced where my grass is not crunchy!</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Anyway, going to the dentist this afternoon.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Hopefully just a cleaning with no surprises.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>So it&rsquo;s a dreary raining day with a dentist appointment.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I need to hold back my excitement.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Need to work out today &ndash; this will be number 4 this week.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Tempted to do number 5 as well.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Tried a Denise Austin walking tape last night - was a little more difficult than WATP but Denise&rsquo;s constant talking drives me crazy.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I have netflixed some more tapes to get some variety.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Hopefully I am not sabotaging my work out by trying so many things &ndash; at least I am getting my fat butt off of the couch.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Can&rsquo;t wait until it gets cooler so I can go outside more but that probably won&rsquo;t be until October.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">I am hanging in there.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I am very lucky since I am not tempted to go off my plan. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp;</span>I need to stay prepared all the time in order to not get tempted!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; it is so cute and very lightweight.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Hopefully it is better than me than the plastic ones I have been using.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I am determined to stop using those disposable plastic bottles.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>They seem like such a waste.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>(Wow, someone from Texas who actually cares about the environment &ndash; we actually do exist!!!)<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I really would like some new shirts since I know it will be awhile before I move to a smaller size.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>But I told myself &ndash; no shopping this week unless you lose at least 2 pounds.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I worked really hard &ndash; did not stray from my plan at all and worked out 4x this week.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Went to JC and I had lost 1.4 pounds.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>When Hannah, my JC consultant, asked me how I felt, I told her <strong><em>&ldquo;I am &amp;&amp;$*#@@ pissed off!!</em></strong><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"><strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong> </span>How come when I stray from the plan I lose more weight?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>So needless to say, Lane Bryant lost money this week.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Later that day my family and I went to eat Mexican for my sister&rsquo;s b-day.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>We had about an hour wait and my sister bought me this huge margarita.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I hated to be rude but I told her there was no way in hell I was going to waste calories on a drink!!!!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>So I ate some chicken in corn tortillas.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Also had some chips and salsa.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>They were so good!!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Then we went back to my mom&rsquo;s place for cake.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>My other sister and I made this huge cake Friday night for my older sister.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>It was a chocolate Boston cr&egrave;me pie cake.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Layers of chocolate cake with vanilla pudding filling.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>We spent 4 hours making and decorating this cake &ndash; I was going to have a piece.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>So I had a small piece or maybe a medium piece.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>More likely a medium piece.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>IT WAS SO GOOD!!!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">So I am going to do my thing this week and follow the plan.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>If I lose more weight this Saturday &ndash; with eating that cake &ndash; I am going to scream.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I am also trying out different workout DVDs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I am using some walking ones as well as the Biggest Loser one.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I also tried a Richard Simmons DVD (I can&rsquo;t believe I am actually admitting it).<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Richard kicked my butt!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>The workout also confirmed that I have no rhythm &ndash; how depressing.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>If anyone knows any other workout tapes that a beginner with no rhythm can do that works you out really well &ndash; </span>This is good I guess, I am doing about 4 times a week.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>The one thing that bugs me is that I sweat like a pig.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I literally sweat a lot.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I was running around on Saturday helping my sister get ready for my niece&rsquo;s party and went to wash the dishes.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Sweat was dripping from my nose!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Not just a drip, but a steady stream.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I know that is totally gross.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>No amount of deodorant or powder will control my perspiration.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Don&rsquo;t get me wrong, during the day while at work or at home &ndash; there are no problems, but if there is exertion &ndash; watch out.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>So let me get to my point.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I HATE WASHING MY HAIR EVERYDAY!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>If I am going to workout 5 times a week, I cannot and will not go without washing my hair.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Now, I am not one of those people who has really bad hygiene.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I wash my hair every other day.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>No real point here but was just venting on how my personal hygiene habits are going to have to adapt to my new lifestyle. </p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">So guess what?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>My sister&rsquo;s birthday is on Saturday.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>2 birthdays in 2 weeks in 3 weeks of me going on my plan.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>The Universe is against me!!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Since my family celebrates everything with food out&ndash; off my plan I go.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I know I can pick something healthy but as RotundReality&rsquo;s says, &ldquo;Mr. Willpower &amp; I are not currently the best of friends.&rdquo;<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Last Saturday at my niece&rsquo;s birthday party &ndash; I did not stray from my plan (I ROCK)!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>When everyone else was eating I went and got my JC meal and I don&rsquo;t think anyone knew otherwise.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>God was in my favor when my sister brought out the cake.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>It looked so good until she mentioned it was strawberry.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Oh, the nerve!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I extremely dislike strawberry cake!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>So hopefully at my sister&rsquo;s party they will have some awful type of cake.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Unfortunately after strawberry there aren&rsquo;t many that I don&rsquo;t like.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Maybe tres leches cake.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>That is the most disgusting thing I have every put in my mouth.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>For those who haven&rsquo;t heard of this cake, let me try and explain.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I am not sure of the exact ingredients, white cake with milk poured over it and then frosted.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>At first looking at it, it looks like a typical piece of cake, but NO, don&rsquo;t be fooled.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Once you place it in your mouth, you will know.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I think I have done well this week.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Worked out 3 times and planning tonight for the 4th.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>My scale fluctuates so much I can&rsquo;t trust it.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I weighed in this morning and it said 4 pound loss and then went back a minute late to 0 loss.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>I have to depend on JC&rsquo;s scale from now on.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Don&rsquo;t want to get a false sense of hope now.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>When it said loss 4, I did a little booty shak&rsquo;n to celebrate and then 30 seconds later I&rsquo;m like, hmmm, that seems like a lot.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>Stepped back on it again and yep, the booty shak&rsquo;n was in vain.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>That will have to wait until tomorrow!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>As KC and the Sunshing Band you say,<em> &ldquo;Shake,Shake,Shake.
