Argh!
Well sometimes you have to fall in order to get back up and do better. I'm so so so disappointed in my activities the past week. And i find it discouraging that a couple meals of bad eating can destroy weeks of progress. It takes 3500 calories to equal 1 lb of fat. And I KNOW I didn't eat 14000 calories worth of junk. Nope, didn't happen. Oh well. Back to business I guess.
So I'm going to finally order Dr. natura's Colonix program. It has a 60 day money back gaurantee so I can't really go wrong right? I plan on chronicling my daily progress once I start the program. I'm SOOOO excited to use it since I've been doing a lot of reading on colon health benefits. I just feel like this is exactly what I need (paired with healthy eating and exercise too).

What the -?!?!?!
So I actually LOST weight!! Not much, but still weight loss! Well I guess the weight loss gods are smiling down on me (jk)! Well that's the motivation i need to have a successful week.
Onto other interesting news: My son last night and this morning did NOT want to nurse anymore. It is bittersweet. I knew I was eventually (soon) going to wean him, but I didn't want HIM to do it this soon I guess.
The good news is if he is in fact really done breastfeeding I can finally start the colon cleansing and detoxing programs that I've been wanting to do forever now!
I'm off to take my inches measurments now!

I was a bad girl this week
I didn't get to the gym ALL WEEK! I got a bit of a wave from my business and have been working to get some things with that taken care of. Not to mention hubby and I splurged a few days this week.
But I'm not feeling too bad about it. Today I went to a great craft fair in beautiful Fountain Hills, AZ (I'm into that stuff). It was a beautiful day and I totally needed it!!
This is going to be an interesting week. I really want to hit the gym but I also have a lot of things to take care of too.
Tomorrow is weigh in and inch day. I doubt I lost any inches. I feel pretty bloated

Cheated a little this weekend...
Well I'm a little disappointed that my weight didn't go down much. Only about half a pound. I ate healthy all week except saturday/sunday I made a cheesecake. I don't eat cheesecake, but I must say it was really good and not so "cheesy". I shared a couple slices with my family.
I went to the gym 3 times and all times they were great, hard work outs. So now that I'm back on the wagon and the cheesecake is gone my new goal for this week is 5 times. I should punish myself and go 6 for eating that devilishly delicious dessert!
Next monday I'll also take my measurements and I hope to have lost some inches again.
So here's to a great week ahead full of discipline, self control, motivation, and hard work!!

I feel blah today
How do you get over that "blah" feeling? You don't wanna do anything, you don't wanna talk to anybody. You don't wanna even THINK about the gym. You just wanna sit on the couch, watch tv, and have every tasty snack at your fingertips.
I feel like that often, including today. Despite the negative feelings, I have been eating well (except for some donuts I got yesterday at a vending machine). I just have no motivation to go out or do anything. I have told myself that I will at least do my pilates tape today. I'm getting my house clean, so I guess that's a good thing.
Just wanting to vent.
Anyone have any suggestions to get over these slump days??

Losing inches!
So I decided to take all my body measurements every two weeks. I didn't expect much of a change because I don't feel different or smaller, but wow, I did lose in all areas-except for thighs!!! My thighs stayed the same. But it is still reassuring, and probably moreso than the scale.
I really need to lose inches all over, but my problem areas are mainly with my legs and stomach/sides. So here's to a week of feeling the burn at the gym!!

Well Disneyland was GREAT!!
What a fantastic weekend it was!! Disneyland was absolutely great! I am happy and sad to be back home. I would love to go again next year.
On the weight side I am HAPPY that I stayed the same!!! I didn't do everything I planned to do. I have a lot to work on on the dicipline side of things. BUT I did try my best. I ate healthy on the car ride to and from and I ate pretty healthy breakfasts.
At the park a weird phenomenom happend (I thought). After observing the crowd, MOST people seemed out of shape! So I think mentally it made me feel like it was okay to splurge a little. Does that make any sense? I was surprised. But me and hubby decided we would split everything, which I think really helped me keep things under control this weekend.
I didn't get to work out or swim at the hotel like I wanted because every day we got back really late when they were closed already. But I think after all that walking I wouldn't have been able to walk or run on the treadmill anyways.
So all in all I am happy that my weight maintained and I didn't get set back. I'm anxious to get back to the gym this week and really hit it. I'd love to be down to 151 next monday!!

The plan for Disneyland
I'm already thinking of all the yummy food that will be at my fingertips in LA, and I'm already feeling weak! However I am determined to AT least stay at the same weight on my next weigh in on Monday.
Here's my plan. Try to hit the gym tonight. DEFINITELY bring my workout clothes and work out every night after the kids go to sleep. I'm even gonna bring my pilates DVD just in case. I want to enjoy myself (foodwise), but I also don't want to be feeling guilty if I splurge a little. Also, I will limit myself to small portions and not feel like I have to eat THE WHOLE THING.
Well, that's my plan and I'm sticking to it!

1st week WI = 3 lbs!
How exciting!!! I actually stepped on the scale last night and it was 153.9. I figure it's because I haven't nursed a lot this morning, but hey, I'll take 154.8. That's just the kind of motivation to help keep me going!
This is going to be quite a busy week. Thursday we're taking the kids to Disneyland. It will take all the determination in the world for me to eat right! Vacations are vacations because you get to eat whatever you want and have a good time. But I guess I need to keep my goal in mind and keep thinking of my weigh-in on monday and not wanting my graph line to go up.
We'll be staying at the Hilton and they have a breakfast bar. Ahh! That is going to be the hardest to me. Breakfast food is probably my favorite next to desserts. But I can do this right? They do have a gym and indoor pool, but I wonder if I'll have time to work out. I will bring my clothes just in case.
Well, I'm feeling this is going to be a good week. The Giants won the superbowl, and I'm going to the happiest place on earth on Friday! Yay!

Colon cleansing and detoxing...
I've been doing a lot of reading and research on colon cleansing and detoxing. And I am very interested in doing both in my journey to better health.
Let me just start off by saying the colon cleansing I'm refering to is not the water-tube-up-your-butt method that might come to mind, but rather a program of fiber and herbs to take to internally.
I've read (and believe) that our way of lives and diets have gotten so far from what they should be and foods we eat (fast foods, hydrogenated fats, refined carbs) today contain so many harmful chemicals or lack the nutrients needed for a balanced diet. Not only that, but a constant eating of these "acid producing" foods leads to an excessive build up of mucous in the intestines, which over time is hardened and encrusted to your colon walls. Interestingly I was watching a program on the Discovery channel on "The Science of Fat" and they had showed an MRI of a "normal" woman, and an obese woman and the obese woman had 30 lbs of impacted feces throught her intestines. You could actually see the stuff-GROSS!
I also read that since our intestines is where all of the nutrients from our foods are absorbed, having anything there prohibiting absorbtion can contribute to all sorts of wackiness in our bodies. Acne, candida, headaches, colds, sicknesses are just some of the things I remembered. Makes sense to me.
That being said I am REALLY interested in trying a colon clease product out there. I'm sure given my lifestyle I probably have lots of gunk in my trunk! It couldn't hurt to try. I am still researching products and finding the most natural and one with great reviews. I'm thinking of Dr. Natura's Colonix, but am still undecided.
My logic is if I can detox my colon (and possibly lose several pounds of poison inside me) it will help overall in my attempts at achieving better health. The only, and MAJOR, downfall right now is that I'm still breastfeeding my baby. A lot, if not most contain herbs that is warned on the box not to take if you're pregnant or nursing.
*SIGH* So I guess I will have to wait it out until then. If anyone has any personal experiences with colon cleansing please feel free to comment!
Well I'm off to the gym!
