Day #3 of recommitment
My recommitment is going well. I know with each day that goes by, I'll be that much stronger. Something that has helped me focus is journaling. I noticed while I was waiting for DH to get home yesterday I automatically went to the kitchen. I wasn't hungry, I just wanted to eat something. The kids had some Pringles on the bar and I picked them up and realized if I ate some I would have to count points for them and put them back. I picked up my journal and wrote until DH got home. I diverted my impulse to eat! Sometimes I don't even realize I do it. I've committed myself to not eating anything after 7 p.m. I had re-read a portion of the Bob Greene book talking about how it helps to have a cut-off time.

Great job!
It feels so wonderful to beat those "I'm not hungry but I feel like eating" impulses--great job! I'm staring at the long stretch between lunch and dinner right now, so I'll definitely be dipping into my "resist the cravings" toolbox.
Have a great day!

You can do this!
If you need proof, just look at your "Lost to date" number. Still makes me say, "Wow."
Take care!

Set-backs...
If anyone knows about set-backs and stumbling blocks, it's me. It sucks to re-gain weight that you worked so hard to lose and to not beat yourself up for it, but the positive side of it is that you gained control of it before it gained control of you and you're making a great come back! Don't be too hard on yourself! Dust yourself off and get back on the band wagon, it's going to be O-K!
Have a great weekend!

Hey!
Great to hear from ya! How has the recommitment been going? I'm glad to hear you're back on program. Are you back on WW? Well, you've done awesome. You're still down 97 pounds!!!! Remember that.
God bless,
Amy

WOW
Hi there ~ I just discovered your blog and have enjoyed reading your success. I am a WW member too but am stuggling. I love your committment to journaling and the thought of having to count those points made you not eat those chips. I wouldn't be able to stop at the serving size - I would be eating 1/2 of the can.
WOW - your stats are outstanding ~ what an inspiration. I will check back on you often and cheer you on as you recommit. Ü
