Before After

Starting over....

Today will be the "do-over" for me.  Since March 26th of this year I have GAINED 33.6 pounds after losing 79.2 pounds since May 1, 2008.  That's gaining almost 1/2 of what I had lost.

No need to think about what I have already done, just try to look forward.  I was wondering if anyone could give me some information on healthy foods that I don't have to cook.  I know there are some foods that I can buy ready to eat that can be healthy for me.  I will still cook a little, but I think I would do better if I could just have something to fall back on when I don't want to cook.  Sound lazy don't I?  Probably true to an extent.

I had thought about getting into the NutriSystem program for a while, but not sure if I would like their food or not.  It's too expensive to join without knowing for sure.  Has anyone tried their food?

I am going to start over today.  I know I will feel better physically.  I need this sooooooooo badly!!!  I also need all the support I can get!!!

Wish me luck!!!

i remember you...

i know how you feel.  it is so hard to stay motivated.  i lost alm45lbs two years ago and was almost to my goal weight. then i got tired of wll the work  involved and gained all the weight back plus 16 more lbs.  i have kept all of my old blogs too.  there is something about reading of how you felt when you were first commiting yourself to being healthy.  the funny thing is we have all figured out how to lose the weight,  the hard part for me is keeping it off.  i am praying for you to have peace during this process.  dont focus so much on how much farther you have to go, or how much weight you have regained.  focus more on the journey, you have slipped up, so have i,  you can still reach your goal! i think if your husband sees you dropping the weight,  he will eventully follow suit.  on the days i dont feel like cooking, i buy the ww frozen meals, progressive soup, lean cuisine, tuna and cracker meals etc.  i cannot afford jenny craig or ns.  sometimes i cook up a bunch of chicken breasts at the beginning of the week.  keep lots of salad stuff and fat free dressing and viola, you have a quick and healthy dinner.   even casseroles are good the key is to measure out your portions so you dont end up overeating.  i dont think it's lazy to buy prepackaged foods.  that always helps me to get back on track.  it is a no brainer way to eat right.  i look forward to watching you lose again.  dont beat yourself up over it.  dont you wish it was as easy to lose as it is to gain?lol

Hey Girl

I  am here cheering you on. Today is the day. I sent you a message. HUGs Gee

Right there with ya!

Hi!
I just returned myself, unfortunately I didn't just gain half the weight back, I gained it allll back.. and then some.  But we've realized our mistakes and it's time to turn it around! Right? Right! Having healthy, pre-prepared foods in the house to fall back on is a great idea!  I have done Nutrisystem, I did it with my mom and after about a month we both quit because we just couldn't deal with the food anymore (or the outrageous price)! Their stuff is awful!  Everything's dehydrated, eggs, meat, all of it, and when you re-hydrate it, well it's just not the same.   I have been on Jenny Craig's food and used to work for them as well, let me tell you... their food is awesome!  I always felt like I was cheating!  Don't know what you're finanacial situation is but you can get a 10 week program from them for just $20, and then you can purchase food- which runs about $3 for a breakfast meal and 4-6$ for a dinner entree.  It's not cheap, but it's definitely an investment in your self.  If you're not looking to spend that much money, I always like Smart Ones, which can be found at the grocery store. Also, Kashi makes some great whole wheat, veggie pizza's, so does Amy's (look in the organic section), and you can get a few meals out of those. Good Luck and welcome back!
