Husband is at training

While DH is away at training I have not forced myself to get up every morning and work out. It has been easy to just say "No, you don't have to get up and work out, you deserve this rest since husband is away." Well that is just flat out being lazy. There is no reason for me to just rest on my laurels while he is gone to do some heavy training. My ultimate goal is to be 125 pounds and to "like" my body again. Through high school I was a runner and always athletic. Thinness came easy to me then since my activity was always high. Now it won't come easy to me.

There have been many times that my anger took over while in the military. I used to say that "If I could just pass my PT test and weight then I would already be a sergeant major." Then my ahha moment came to me. Yes, PT and weight have always been an issue-even when I was 128 pounds. But my work and organization and leadership come quite easily. Other people who struggle with those qualities may be able to pass their PT/weight with no problem. Be happy that your problem is something physical that you can work on and not mental. Physical seems to be a lot easier to conquer than mental. Since that day my thoughts are aimed at filling my mind with positive affirmations. You can do it.

So get off your butt and work out. This is your body. You can not blame anyone else if you do not put in the effort. It is possible that you could even go to OCS a year earlier than projected-if so that means one year earlier of promotion and more money. If you are to stay in the military then you need to make positive moves in making your career work for you. You are done having children so now you CAN get your body back. Work hard and strong and become the woman you are. Be all you can be. :)

Your focus needs to be God, Family, School, Career, Friends. You will be tired and worn down. But it will all be worth it in just a few years. You can do it! Your husband and family support you-support yourself.
