First Friday weigh in
I weighed in this morning and was down 1.2! Maybe Fridays are my good luck charm!
Not much new going on here. My plans for the weekend are few. T-ball with the 3 year old, softball with the 12 year old and a movie for Mommy on Sunday with a girlfriend! No other plans as of now. It's NICE to have some time in between!
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Thursday
We have had a much easier week this week. We only had things to do last night (church) and tonight (soccer). She has had 3 soccer games so far and they have won all 3! They really are an awesome group of girls! It's always fun to watch them.
I've had an OK week on the eating front. I haven't been counting points, but I have been watching portions and drinking water. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings we went walking. And, I've been the first one home each day this week, so my little one and I have walked the dogs! We have 2 dogs and they are fairly big (a lab and a golden retriever). When I have to walk them, I have to do it one at a time, especially with a 3 year old with me. They don't go on super long walks, but it is some extra activity!
Tomorrow is the first time I'll be weighing in on Friday morning. We'll see how it goes! I won't be able to post it until after I get home. I'm hoping for even the littlest loss! I'll be happy with that!
Hope you all are on the right track!

Another quote
I have this cute daily calendar that gives me some motivation. Here was a quote that I LOVED!
"If you could get up the courage to begin, you have the courage to succeed."
- David Viscott
And one more:
"Your life is a book; every page you write, you carry with you. You don't get to tear the pages out and throw them away. So write wisely."
- Sharon Stone

Monday
Besides being tired from the weekend, today was a good day! I ate a good lunch and dinner with lots of veggies and am feeling full! And, we are going to have time to go for a walk now! PLUS, I was the first one home today, so I have already walked the dogs! Now, those aren't long walks, but still, it's moving! Now, we are getting ready to go on a longer walk. My 3 year old likes to ride her bike alongside us and she rides fast, so we have to walk fast to keep up!
It's an easier week for us this week. Only 2 nights out instead of 4 last week! Church on Wednesday and soccer on Thursday. AND, I don't have to teach at church, I can actually go to a class and relax! It's much easier to watch your diet when you aren't always on the go!
So, here's a try for a new week! Another goal I have for this week is to get to bed earlier! I know that will help with energy!
Hope you are all doing well!

Friday is the new day
I've decided that my new weigh in day will be Friday mornings. I tend to do really well during the week and not so well on Friday evenings through Saturday. So, since I'm not actually going to WW right now and my weigh in is done on my own, that's my decision! I'm still up as I have not been on track.
So, I spent my evening walking! I did another Relay for Life with some friends from my school last year. We walked from 10 - about 1:30 with minimal breaks. My legs ached, but we had a great time!
Today, my 3 year old starts T-ball! She is so excited! I can't wait to see how she does. My oldest has a softball game this afternoon. We have another busy day! My former mother-in-law is coming to town to visit with us too. I still love her and I know she likes me more than her son! But the girls LOVE to spend the night with her! No breaks for me until then!
I'm hoping for a good weekend with lots of activity! Hope you all have a great one too!

long week
This is/has been a long week! Monday, back to school and a softball game in the evening. Tuesday, field trip and dentist appointment. Wednesday, the kids were rowdy today and then teaching at church tonight. Tomorrow, school and then a soccer game in the evening. Friday, school, softball, and then walking from 10 pm - 2 am! (Relay for Life) Saturday my former mother in law (who I get along with still - in fact she likes me more than her son!) is coming to town. Cami starts t-ball and Brie has a game! No relief until Sunday! It is HARD to manage it all and watch my eating! I did go for a walk last night on my only night off! I'm hoping for some progress this week. I guess we'll see! Hope you are all doing well - or better than me!

part 3
(here's part 3)
Friday, April 11 - I spent the day downloading pictures onto the computer and doing laundry. I packed again b/c my oldest left with some friends and another mom to go on our church retreat. My little one and I didn't leave for the retreat until Saturday. Friday night I participated in a Relay for Life Cancer walk. I walked with my friend Kathy from 8 - 10 pm! I felt good doing it b/c it felt like I was helping myself after all the over eating I did over the past week! Plus, the walk was for a good cause.
Saturday, April 12 - the little one and I got up early to drive and hour and a half to our church retreat. It was very fun and we had a campfire and made s'mores last night!
Sunday, April 13 - finishing up the retreat and we headed home. We stopped at Subway for lunch (finally eating something on the healthier side!). I am now home and doing laundry again! I've unpacked and now am just trying to relax a little!
Tomorrow we are back to school. I really feel exhausted! I'm hoping to get to bed EARLY in order to get a good start tomorrow. I usually have an issue with getting up on time, so I'd like to get a fresh start. We go 14 days until another day off, so I need to be refreshed!
Sorry for the super long blog, but that's where I've been! I'm also reading the book Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert and so far, I like it!
Hope you all are staying on track. I won't be logging my weight until next week, for obvious reasons! Next Friday, I have another Relay for Life I am participating in and will be walking for a 4 hour stretch! I'm hoping to show a loss next week, finally!
Have a great week!

part 2
(EP wouldn't let me post the whole thing, they said it's too big, so it's in parts)
Tuesday, April 8 - My mom went to visit her aunt and take her to a dr. appointment. The rest of us went hiking on an easy trail. We had to go on an easy one since we had the little ones. But, it was pretty fun and the kids enjoyed it too. We did some site seeing and visited an old farm and a mill. After, my oldest daughter, my dad, my sis and brother in law went white water rafting! Now, I know I should have done it too, but the thought of the ice cold water and the fact that it was barely 70 degrees out, did not appeal to me! So, I volunteered to watch the little ones. They ended up being gone a LONG time and brought back a pizza for the kids and me.
Wednesday, April 9 - We all went over to pick up my aunt and my mom's brother (who had also come to town to visit). We went and had lunch at the casino (Harrah's). We had lunch and then my sis, b-i-l, and I went do some gambling! My parents, aunt and uncle took the kids to an arcade. Unfortunately, we did NOT strike it rich! I only took $25 to spend and came home with 10 cents! Oh well! After, we all went back to my aunt's to say goodbye. Wednesday night my b-i-l made dinner again. It was a Spanish dish with beans, rice, and flank steak. VERY YUMMY! Then, after we put all the little ones to bed, we all had a Wii tournament. When my daughter turned 12, she got a Wii and she organized a bowling/tennis tournament with us all. It was very fun!
Thursday, April 10 - We spent the day driving back home. We took a ride through Maggie Valley and by Lake Junaluska (which is where my oldest and I went skiing with the youth group back in February). It was another smooth day in the car and we got home about 9:45 pm!

SB 08 is almost over...
So, my spring break is almost over and I feel like I need a break from my break! Here's a breakdown of where I've been and what I've been up to!
Sunday, April 6 - we (my parents, my girls and me) drove to NC in our rented van. It was so nice to have so much room! Cami did great and went potty every time we stopped. (that can be an issue with her, so that was a great thing!) We left at 6 am and made great time. We went to the cabin we rented which was, literally, on the side of a mountain! The roads got narrower and narrower on the way up and I wasn't sure we'd make it! But, we did and the cabin was amazing! It had 3 floors and plenty of sleeping room. My sis and her family (husband and 2 kids) joined us a couple of hours later. So, we had kids ages 2, 3, 4, and 12 and then 4 adults. There was no internet and no cell phone signals. IT WAS GREAT! There was a TV, so I was still able to see BB!
Monday, April 7 - We went to visit our great aunt who is 90 in nearby Cherokee, NC. We took her to lunch at Arby's and then we drove around Cherokee and did a little shopping. We went to have ice cream after. My brother in law made dinner - meatloaf. It was OK, but I'm not a huge meatloaf fan.
