Before After

FINALLY

Finally!  A loss!  What a great way to start my weekend!  Plus, there are only 11 and a half days of school left!  YEE HAW!!!

I got to see a former student of mine today and was SO happy he's doing well!  Long story short - he wasn't living with his mom while he was in my class and then for spring break, he moved back with her and it seems like he's doing well!  I'm so happy for him and relieved he is doing well.  I've been worried!

My kids did a writing assignment today and really put their all into it!  That's amazing since they are so close to the end of the year!  But, we, as teachers, had to set a goal to reach for the end of the year and mine was based on my kids improving their writing.  And, I think they have!    I guess I AM a good teacher!

Ok, enough about work!  I'm off to watch ET with the little ones! Have a super weekend!

Thursday - one step closer!

My 12 year old had her final soccer game tonight and THEY LOST!  They played 6 games this short spring season and only lost ONE!  UGH!  But, this was the last one and the last softball game was Saturday, so we are one step closer to summer!  I also have 12 and 1/2 days of school left (with the kids).  14 total for me!

I have tried to exercise more and have been drinking my water daily.  I've kept the food intake down too.  When I weighed myself this morning, there was no change!  It was down yesterday, but back up today - how annoying!  So, since tomorrow is my official weigh in, we'll just have to wait and see!

I'm up now waiting for my 12 year old to finish writing her report so I can type it for her.  She is grounded for the weekend since she decided to wait to do this report until the last minute!  It takes her forever to type, so I told her I'd do that part and she is busy writing.  I hope she's done soon b/c I am SO tired!

Yeah! Tomorrow is Friday!  Hope you all have a great one!!

Monday

I had a great Mother's day weekend.  It started on Saturday with a t-ball game for my 3 year old, a softball game for my 12 year old (the last one of the season!) and a Tampa Bay Rays game Saturday night!  I went with my kids and my parents to the game and it was school night, so there were some friends from school and some kids!  It was fun and the Rays won!

Sunday, we had church and then did some shopping at Sam's club.  After, I came home and my sis and her kids came over to play.  Her hubby was sick, so he stayed home.  We cooked out and had BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, and homemade potato salad.  It was so yummy!  Then, after my sis left, we went on a LONG walk (40 minutes).  I walked while my 12 year old rode her bike and my mom roller bladed!  I love that my mom, who just turned 59, is still so active!  I hope that means the same for me!

Today, I went to school early b/c a parent had requested an early conference, but then she didn't show.  I have to go in again early tomorrow, so I'll be going to bed early tonight.  Since we don't have any other plans tonight, I'm hoping we can go on another walk.  This week is an easier one - Band Concert on Wednesday and the last soccer game on Thursday.  Then my 12 year old's sports will be done (unless she makes softball all stars).  She is happy to be done for a bit.  My little one's t-ball goes through the first Saturday in June, but she is off Memorial day weekend.  We are looking forward to a break from everything!!!

15 and 1/2 days left of school for us here and we are counting down!  Hope you all have had a great day!

Dang it!

I thought I was down .2 but instead I'm up .2!  I'm a bit frustrated with myself, but it hasn't been the best of weeks.  It was teacher appreciation week and they fed us - a lot!  I'm at a different school from last year, so there were no presents from kids, but the PTA really looked out for us!

I'm looking forward to the summer where I can control my eating a little more.  Also, I found out that our local Y does month to month memberships, so I can sign up just for the summer!  I LOVED doing water aerobics a few years back and now I will be able to do that again!  It's a super way to start off my day and then the kids can play at the pool!  They have a cool little water slide area and they are looking forward to it!

Tonight we have a kids movie at church with dinner for the parents.  Tomorrow we have Brie's final softball game and Cami's t-ball.  Then, we are going to the Rays game in the evening.  Sunday, we don't have anything planned, but it will be nice just to relax!

Hope you all are doing well!!  And Gwynn - TGIF and the weekend!!!!!!  School is running us all down!!

Monday

Today was another good one.  My eating was under control and I am still working on drinking the water.  I've probably had all I need, but I will continue drinking it this evening.  I went for a walk, but it wasn't very pleasurable.  You know how you get cramps when you exercise too soon after eating?  Well, soon after we started walking I got one which just seemed to get worse and then it spread to the other side!  So I felt like I was in agony the whole time!  But, I stuck it out and finished anyway.  I just felt like I couldn't walk very fast, which was annoying!  Not that I walk THAT fast, but still!  My 3 year old rides her bike (which is kind of like a big wheel) and when she goes fast, I can walk faster to keep up!  But I was pretty slow tonight!  At least I can say I got some exercise!

This is the only night this week we have off.  Tomorrow my 12 year old has a late field trip so I have to pick her up at 7.  Wednesday she has softball and Thursday is now the induction to the National Junior Honor Society!  Friday is kids night at the movies at church and then it's finally the weekend!

Oh, after school today, I went and bought some of those Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches.  I got the mint ones and they are so yummy!  And only 2 points!

Hope all is well with you!

One more thing...

I had a great day eating today.  We went to a fundraiser/party tonight at a restaurant/bar.  I shared a cheeseburger and fries with my little one.  Then, I had a mini delight for dessert at home!  I also drank all my water plus some!  It was a good day!

Sunday

Another Sunday is here again.  I love Sundays when I don't have much to do.  Believe it or not, I like doing laundry!  We had church this morning and now we are just relaxing before going to a fundraiser later this afternoon.  I just don't like Sunday nights b/c I can never seem to go to bed early and then I'm super tired on my way to work on Monday!  But, we only have 21 and a half days left of school, which makes it easier to go everyday!

Yesterday we had a busy day.  T-ball with my 3 year old and then on to the softball game with my 12 year old.  They won 15-0!  Then, since I was treating yesterday as a cheat day ( I still have mixed feelings on whether or not I should be doing that!) and so I ordered pizza for dinner.  Now, I did order a small from Papa John's so I didn't over do it.  But, I ordered it online and about 40 -45 minutes later I was still waiting for it to come.  So, I called and they told me I had requested it (online) for a pickup order!  I was so mad, but I went to get it!  Now, the week or so before, I had ordered pizza from Pizza hut and messed up that order too!  That time I thought I ordered stuffed crust and I didn't.  I think that is my sign from God that I shouldn't be ordering pizza online anymore!  I mean, both times I was really mad, but at myself for making those mistakes!  UGH!  But, I did realize that was a signal to not be doing that anymore!  Sometimes it takes something to slap you right in the face before you can realize it!

Now, my last issue is an ex-husband who has been harrassing me!  I'd love to hear any advice on how to deal with that!  Unfortunately, since we have kids, I still have to see him regularly.  I'm not going to go into all the details here, but let's just say he's got nothing better to do than to bother me!  A major ongoing annoyance for me!

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!

May goals

It seems to work for Gwynn and some other EP'ers out there, so I am going to set some May goals for myself.  I'm going to try small so hopefully I can make them!  Here goes:

  • lose 4 pounds
  • walk at least 3 days a week (more if possible)
  • drink my water daily

OK, here goes!  I think chunking it down may help!  I know I was more successful last summer, so I am looking forward to another great one!

no school today

There is no school for us today - YEAH!  I don't really know why, but I'm not questioning it and I'm just going to enjoy the day!  I was up .2 today, but that's not really a big deal.

Our week was not too busy.  Yesterday was field day at school, but that only lasted about an hour.  So, we watched a movie and had a picnic to help the rest of the day go by!  My oldest had a softball game last night and then went to spend the night with her father.  Since it was too late for my little one to go, she came home.  We are going to finally see the movie, Horton Hears a Who this morning.  It should be fun.

Tomorrow, we have another softball game and t-ball.  Sunday, we are going to a benefit for a 13 year old boy at our church who has cancer.  There will be several bands playing and it's a great venue, so we are looking forward to that.  And that's our weekend.  I'm hoping to get in some walking as we have a busy week ahead again.

There are only 21 and a half days left of school!  I don't know who is more excited - the kids or the teachers!  We have Memorial day off too, so it's looking good!

Hope you all have a super Friday!

Saturday

It was a good day.  I made pancakes for breakfast - the kind you only have to add water to and had one with syrup.  My little one had a t-ball game at the YMCA and then we got lunch from Wendy's.  I had the taco salad - those are so yummy!  I shared a pretzel with my little one at my older daughter's game and had a decent dinner!  Plus, I drank about 5 (and I'm drinking #6 now) bottles of water - the 24 oz kind.  I didn't get much exercise.  I so wish driving could count as exercise!  I do a TON of that!  But, I was happy that my eating was under control!  I tend to splurge ALL weekend and I know that won't help me lose weight.

Tomorrow, after church, I'm meeting my friend Amanda for lunch and then a movie.  We've decided on Panera which is great b/c I LOVE their low fat chicken noodle soup and then I get 1/2 a sandwich.  It's a decent lunch and not too fattening.  Then, if we eat first, I won't want popcorn, so that should work out OK.  We're going to see Baby Momma.  I know that's probably really dumb, but hopefully very funny!  I love both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, so it should be good.

I hope you all are having a successful weekend as well!  Enjoy your Sunday!
