Before After

Things I've learned...

The first thing you would have think I'd learned a long time ago - don't go out to eat the night before a weigh in!  DUH!  But, I did and I even chose a really dumb place for me - a pizza place!  So, of course, that meant my weigh in was up from last week.  BUT, it was only up .4, so that's not too bad.
I have also learned that pizza should just be a red light food for me!  Every Friday night we have pizza, but I usually think that's ok b/c it's my splurge day since I've already weighed in, but the splurge is the pizza, not eating too much of it!
I learned this week that you can't count on a substitute to get the job done.  I had one on Wednesday b/c I had to go to a training and he didn't do half the things I asked him to!  I thought I was having a different sub, but for whatever reason, I didn't get her!  UGH!  So I spent the next 2 days trying to catch up!
I learned that I really like the school I work at.  After going to a training with some teachers from other schools around, I realized that they are not all nice and that they like to complain a lot!  So, I guess I'll stick around there awhile.  (I had thought about trying to transfer maybe next year - but I'm not so sure now).
And the last lesson - and this is one I already knew - my ex is an a**.  He now has a new girlfriend (good for him) but he's blowing off the kids!  I knew this would happen and it really irks me, but at least I get more time with them!
So there's my lessons learned for the past few days!  Here's to a great weekend!

Isn't it great

to be a lifelong learner!   But not always fun.  I hope this week is better!

:)

Ugh I hate having a sub in my room. The work just piles up on my desk and the kids are off the wall when I come in the next day. Sometimes it is just unavoidable though.

I am with you on the school situation. I currently drive 30 minutes to work and I drive right past 2 schools on my way here. It would be nice to work closer to home but I think it is more important to like the teachers that you work with.

Don't even get me started on your ex. ((hugs)) I'm right there in the same boat with you girl.
