What a workout
Last night was Jazz/Funk class. My first class was ok but it was taught by a sub. Well last night class was taught by the actual instructor, I will change her name to *Summer*... she's a bright and bubbly little thing, plus she has sooo much energy. You can tell she is a ballet dancer by the stretches we did. She had us do series of stretches, yoga and later in the class dancing.
While doing some lunges she came over to me and helped me get into the right posistion. It was difficult becuase I have short legs and they can only go but so far
Plus due to my massive stomach and chest I couldn't reach as far as some of the other people. Then she had us do do crunches and pilates. ( At this point I was actually beginning to wonder when we would actually do some dancing. ) I have never tried pilates but I heard it good for you.
The exercises on the floor was really intense I was thinking hmmm.. "this is too hard, maybe I should just get up and leave the class" but I stuck with it. Not sure if I'm going to go back. After class the Summer said that we all did a good job, some of us even talked her into coming to check out Zumba. LOL maybe that will take some of her energy down a notch.
