Before After

Long time gone

Yes I know, it has been awhile.  I'm back though.  Over my vacation I managed to only gain 1.4 pounds, but as of my weigh in yesterday it and more are gone again!

Oh by the way, I'm now engaged to a wonderful man.  (The one in my pictures)  He is now living in Germany and I will move over there once we are married.  Which will hopefully be sometime next summer.

Other than that, I'm just trying to get back into a routine.  I'll post again soon...keep your fingers crossed!

Put it on my card!

Just thought I'd share my reason to celebrate!  I went shopping on Sunday.  I've been trying not to buy new clothes just yet.  I have lots of clothes in my size 18 and have lots of clothes (from my wonderful SIL ) in size 14, so I thought I could just suffer through size 16 in larger clothes.  That was until Friday night.  My boyfriend, who mind you has been my biggest supporter, mentioned that the jeans I was wearing were REALLY hanging off me.  My belt didn't even have another notch to tighten it and the jeans were bunched under the belt anyway!  He said it really did not look good.  So I decided between his comment, my great success so far and our two week trip to Michigan this Saturday warrented a "small" shopping trip.  I ended up buying two pairs of size 16 jeans and one pair of khaki capris.  I'm so happy I did.  I didn't splurge too much so I felt good about my purchase.  After all, who wants to be a frumpy looking girl anyway!

Hope everyone is doing well.  I'll be away until the last week of August, so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's updates.  Take care and keep losing!

Its August?

Seriously....has time just flown by or what?

Work has been super busy for me!  When one person is out of the office...especially the boss, the other two of us really have some slack to pick up!

This past week contained a lot of eating out.  I talked with my consultant last week and she gave me a layout that they usually don't give you until halfway, showing your day's serving totals.  So I used that to try and even everything out.  (If I had an extra starch or meat at breakfast, I would take one out at lunch or dinner)  My week of eating out consisted of Cucina! Cucina!, Red Robin, Los Cobos, Sharies, and even Cold Stone Creamery.  (My usual there had always been sweetcream ice cream with peanut butter and graham crackers.  All I did was subsitute Sinless FF vanilla!)  I was a little worried about my WI yesterday because I think I had done okay, but wasn't exactly sure.  Turns out I did fine!  I lost 1.4 lbs.  Every step is a step in the right direction right??

I have confirmation that my sweetheart actually asked my parent for "permission" on Thursday.  He waited until Sunday of course to tell me this!!  I am so excited and have NO idea when the ring is coming, but I love surprises!

Also I'm getting ready for a two week trip to Detroit.  My boy's family lives there and so we are going for his leave before the big move to Germany.  Should be fun...in blazing heat!  But I have one more week until then, so I'll do another post.  Hope all is well with everyone else!

Quickie

Just checking in.  I lost .2 pounds last week.  Kinda small.  I did eat off plan a couple times because I didn't want something hot from the microwave when it was over 90 degrees both outside and inside my house.

My boyfriend came home (finally) and he could tell right when he saw me that I looked physically different.  That made me happy.

I'll post more when I have something to report!  Happy losing!

Not happening again!

Today is a wonderful day isn't it?

I had my consultation yesterday.  When I weighed in, the scale said 198.2!  Can you believe it!  That was a "1" in front of my weight, not a "2".  And for the record it will not say "2" EVER again!  I remember when I first saw that "2" I said I would change that right away...I think that was about 2 years ago!  Now that it is gone, it is gone for good!  I am now at a total loss of 17.8 pounds!  Wow, I'm moving now.

My sweetheart is coming home on Friday!  It has been 7 weeks since I've seen him and I can hardly wait!  I have so much to do!  This is a month earlier than anticipated so there goes my short term goal...now I just have to make a new one!

I finally thought of some rewards for my key losses:
(All subject to change)
-20 pounds: Fresh flowers, probably something with purple roses
-Halfway (40.5 pounds): Horseback riding trip
-Goal: An peice of opal jewelry.  Most likely a ring.  I learned that an opal is said to be "the stone of great achievement".  I'm thinking of a blue opal, but don't know just yet...

Someone needs a time-out!

I don't know how I pulled it off, but I managed to get the cold and the flu at the same time!  Lucky me!  I ended up taking yesterday off work to rest and try and kick this icky stuff.  Saddie, my dog, also went into the vet for a follow-up, she isn't healing as well as expected.  It was nice to get to spend the day resting with her too.  She loves her momma, thats for sure!

Oh and as for my weigh in on Monday, I DID NOT want to step on the scale.  Well, with all my bloating I managed to lose 0.2 pounds.  Hey, its not much, but I'LL TAKE IT!  Hope everyone is having a good hump-day!  One way or another, we'll get through it!

Can't a girl get a break?

Could this weekend have been any worse?  It started out okay, I had nothing planned but to go out with my SIL on Friday night for dinner and dancing...Girls night out!  I even slid into an old pair of jeans a size down from what I started!!  We had a blast!

Friday afternoon, while giving my dog a bath I noticed a large bump on her tooshy.  She didn't cry when I touched it, but I could tell it wasn't suppose to be there.  Side note: this is my rescue dog who is old as dirt but the best little dog a girl could ask for!  Even with her 101 health problems.  I did some research online and decided it was bad enough, she needed to see the vet.  I got her in and turns out it was a little worse than I though and she would have to come in Saturday morning for surgery.  Her surgery ended up going okay, but the vet told me they found a large mass in her rectal tissue she is 80% is a cancerous tumor.  We don't know how long its been there, but it is pretty big already!  After discussing options, nothing looks good.  Her quality of life would be bad with or without another operation.  Now I have to prepare myself to say goodbye.  So for the next couple weeks (hopefully) she is going to be one spoiled pooch!

So yes, my weekend was quite a tough one.  To top it off, I'm retaining water like a camel and woke up this morning with a cold.  Lovely.  Did I mention it is WI today?

I'm such a loser

Not a whole lot to report but this:

I completed my first month with JC on Monday and at my consultation I came up with a loss of 14 inches and 13.4 pounds!  I actually had to remeasure because I didn't believe that!  I'm still totally motivated to reaching my short term goal of 20 pounds by 8/25.  That day is my BF's graduation in Georgia.  I haven't seen him since 6/1 so I'm looking forward to that day for many reasons!

I'm still being very proactive on my self-talk.  It takes a little bit of pushing to get me out the door for my run after work.  Yesterday I did more running than walking on my mile path.  If I keep pushing I'll be to all running in no time and have to expand!

Thats about all for now.  I'll check back in on everyone in a few days or so.  Keep pushing!  You're worth it!

Funny things I do!

I have been accused of being a bit strange, and thats okay!  Here are some funny things I do:  (feel free to adopt any)

To guage how much I'm drinking (by how much I use the potty):
The bathroom at work has 6 stalls and I start on the first one in the morning and work my way down the line.  If around lunch time I haven't reached half way, I haven't been drinking enough!

Each night, I do 1 sit-up and 1 push-up for each pound I've lost total.  Its been pretty easy considering I've lost 11 pounds so far, but closer to my goal (81) I think its going to get a little difficult.  Oh and as a side note, they are girl push-ups I haven't yet graduated to full out push-ups!

Hmm, thats all I can think of right now.  Maybe I'll update more as I realize them!  Today is weigh in day...wish me luck!

Still Going Strong

Well, another good week for me so far.  On my weigh in on Monday I lost 2.4 pounds bringing me to 204.4 and a total of 11.6 pounds gone!  That makes me VERY happy.  I'm slowly starting to tell that I'm losing.  My double chin is slowly disappearing (I hate that more than my tummy!).  This week is going to be pretty easy, meaning I have nothing I think will stop me from sticking to the program.  I'm super pumped for the JC Survivor Challenge.  Go SUMMERTIME SUPREMES!  Yesterday I ran/walked for the 30 min.  (our weekly challenge).  Today I think its just going to be a walk, but who knows.

On a more personal note, I miss my sweetheart like crazy.  He left June 4th and I've talked to him twice since then.  Our next phone call is three weeks from this Friday or Saturday.  I'm not expected to see him until August 24th!  This is the longest we have been apart.  It does give me a BIG motivation to look beautiful when we meet up again.  I can't wait to buy that new outfit to wear to his Army Ranger Graduation at least 20 pounds lighter!  Wish me luck!
