Hump Day Highlights

I know that is such a corny title but oh well. It is at least different...Sue me.

Anyway, so today was pretty good. I got up this morning and did the Week 1 workout on TBL yoga DVD. I really liked it and was pouring sweat. I am not a yoga enthusiast by any means...I took a yoga class in college as one of the required phys ed classes and enjoyed it but this is my first time doing it since then. I am going to try to keep it up at least 4 mornings a week. Since it is harder for me to get walks in because it is dark in the evening, I figure yoga will be a good replacement. I also finally went to Curves tonight. I am hoping to go the next 2 nights. I won't be able to go on Saturday because DH has to use my car that morning to go to work and won't be home until after Curves closes for the day. It will be a challenge because that means we will have to skip our usual Friday night out with friends. We need to anyway to save the money.

So today was a good exercise day but not perfect on food. I am doing better but just not perfect. I just need to rid the house of all the junk. It is difficult but I am just going to have to do it or just train myself to avoid it better.

YAY!

Way to go on the exercise.  I used to go to Curves.  One of my chief complaints was their hours.  I'm an early riser.  I think they opened at like 9 on Saturdays.  Too late for me.  I'm ready to be on with my day.  Then they closed at 1.  It just wasn't good.  They closed early on the weeknights, too.  But that part was okay since I go to bed early.

Anyway, you're doing great!

Glad you got to curves tonight.  Too bad you'll have to miss out with the friends on Fri, but maybe you guys could take turns hosting in-house to save $$  ??

I've never done yoga before I got the wii fit and I like it.. It seems really nice and I like to feel the muscles stretching.  I like GCQMom's idea of hosting friends.  It's cheaper and if each friend takes a turn hosting it could really turn into a fun event.  Get some board games... a little wine.. some appetizers.. it should be fun!

i looove yoga!  i do it at least once a day- sometimes twice.  i love how it streches the muscle you didnt even know you had!

it really is a great workout- wait until you get into the advanced poses!

Hey I did yoga yesterday too!  I read this post yesterday when I was at work, and couldn't comment. But it made me excited about my Thursday night yoga class. 
Now it's Friday morning, and let me tell ya, the class rocked. It was sooo good. Luv me some yoga!!

 

You're doing great

I've heard so much good things about yoga and I'm so glad you are able to do it.  I have a very hard time motivating myself to exercise to tapes in the morning or any exercise. I'm struggling now to get my butt to work on time.

to answer your questions.. I'm basically doing WW by staying within the points for my size but I also and trying to low carb it a bit but only the bread and sugars and empty calorie carbs.  I will have sweet potatoe and things with nutritional umpf.  I feel so much better cutting out the crap.

I have to work some on Saturday but not all day. Maybe I can come pick you up to walk the track in the afternoon.  I'm not sure yet how long I'll have to stay - depends on my progress with some projects tomorrow and sat morning.
