That time again to..

weigh in.. :-(  Well I up 2.5 pounds this week and I for sure saw it coming.  It has been one of those weeks from hell.  It is TOM week, so that means migraines, emotional rollercoaster, ate everything in site, argued with hubby and daughter.. :-(  And nosebleeds on top of it!  I will be glad to put this week behind me.  I love my hubby and daughter to death, it's just this is my daughters last year at home and then she is off to college so my hubby's life right now is hers and I really miss him noticing me.  Sooo I will be glad to gt this weight off before it is just me and him again and we have to almost start over.   

Goals for week:

  • 1700 calories per day
  • Sat free day
  • Walking 11,000 steps per day
  • Drinking 12 cups water per day

I will have a loss next Saturday!!!  :-)  I hope everyone is having a great week!

Weigh In!

WooHoo!!!!  Another 1.5 pounds off my body..    I think this week I will bump my steps up to 10,500 and continue with my Leslie tapes.  So here is my goals for the week:

  • 10,500 steps 6 days
  • 2100 calories 6 days
  • Leslie 1 mile 3 days

It is so cold this morning!  Our temps are 14 and it is showing 29% humidity in my house and that is with 2 humidifiers going.  We live in a double wide so alot of air gets through the doors and windows.  It makes me so nervous since anyone can have a nosebleed when the humidity gets below 30%.  Plus it is not good on your electronics, etc..   Come on Spring!!!  :-)  I know Spring means allergies and tornados but I can handle that better than winter and my nose.. :-)

Today is my free day so no counting calories or worrying about exercise!

After Concert

well first thank you for all the comments and to answer your questions, it was As I Lay Dying a Christian Punk rock type concert, I just dropped my daughter and friend off and then my hubby picked them up.. :-)  I am more into 80's type music.. *VBG*  I love Christian, Rock, Soft Rock, Country, etc.. but my favorite is 80's.. :-)

I will back up, we left here early so we would have plenty of time to make it.  We had only made it about 1/4 of the way there and I started having a real small nosebleed.  I got scared and my daughter helped calm me down.  Luckily it never got worse.  You never know what is going to happen.  I needed to tinkle so we stopped at a gas station and ran in, they bought some snacks.  We can back out and it was really windy and raining then.  And temp dropping fast.  So we tried to hurry and get in the car and opened the door and there went my directions and their tickets.  They chased them down and got them but they were all wet.  We were scared they weren't going to let them in so I waited for about 45 minutes in the parking lot while they stood in line getting wet, it was a very long line.  But they let them in with their wet tickets and I drove back home.  My hubby stayed on the cell phone with me all the way home to make sure I made it OK .. :-)  I did!  And my daughter had a wonderful time! 

I did get my steps in yesterday and will get them in today for sure.  I will also try and eat a little less today since weigh in is in the morning.. :-)

Concert

I am checking in!  I had another nosebleed since I wrote you actually I am having trouble on both sides, I know the biggest reason right now is this awful dry weather and then the heater on top of it.  I do have 2 humidifiers running but it just isn't the same as Summer.  Sometimes I wish I could take off to one of the warm beaches this time of year, maybe someday and then my nose might heal once and for all.  Despite all that, I have continued getting my steps and Leslie tapes in, just carefully!  I even started counting my calories again just to be safe I wasn't going over except on free day.. :-)

Tonight I will be taking my daughter and her friend to a concert, she is super excited and I am nervous.  My hubby tried to get off early to take them but can't sooo it is up to me.  One I am nervous because of my nosebleeds, then top it off we will be in 5 o'clock traffic in OKC, and it is supposed to be snowing then.  I am a big baby and don't do well on snow or ice.  Just the other day we were in the 70's, crazy Okahoma weather..lol   I will let you all know how it goes!

Weigh In!!!

WooHoo, I am so excited 4 more pounds off for good!!!!  :-)   Yesterday was crazy!  I was major swamped at home trying to get a million things done while being careful with my nose.  My daughter got home from school and I had breakfast and my snacks but not lunch, which isn't like me ..lol  Sooo we went to the grocery store.  I stocked up on lots of soup, smart ones, mini pizzas I make from scratch, nuts, natural skippy pb to try, lettuce for salads, stuff for my light and tasty recipes, new magazines including Taste Of Home comfort food diet cookbook with over 217 delicious recipes.  You can check out light and tasty at:  www.lightandtasty.com  So on the way home we were starving.  We made it half way home, we live out in the country so we stopped at Subway and got a mini cheese pizza.  Then we came home and put up the groceries and drank water and stepped in place watching TV until I reached my 10, 000 steps.. :-)   Still not counting calories just cutting back a little.

My goals for next week are:

  • 10,000 steps plus 6 days per week
  • Leslie 1 mile 3 times per week
  • Cutting back a little

Everyone have a great day!!  Today is my free day so I am having a 3 muskateers bar, starbucks later and we are eating at Applebees tonight.. :-)

Checking In

It's Wednesday, half way to the next way in.. :-)  So far things are going great overall, not perfect but great!  I have been getting my 10,000 steps in every day, and instead of 5 days per week with my Leslie tapes I have been doing them Mon, Wed and will on Friday.   That works out so I can work and send out my stationery on Tuesday and Thursdays. 

We had Lightened version of Chicken Tortilla Casserole last night and my hubby loved it, tonight we will be having lightened up Fettucinie.  You can find these recipes at eatbetter.com   Today I am having a blast going through my new Light and Tasty magazine I got yesterday.

Monday

Here we are a new week!  I just love Monday's, they feel so refreshing, I know I am weird..rofl  I hope everyone had a great weekend!  I stepped in place alot and just spent time with my family. 

My goals for this week are:

  • 10,000 steps per day M-Sun
  • 1 mile Leslie tape M-F
  • Burn at least 500 calories per day

I read if you burn 500 calories per day through exercise of some kind you will lose 1 pound per week, I can do that!  :-)

Weigh In

Today is the day, my first weigh in from starting Monday.  OK, I drumroll............... I lost 3 pounds!!!  WooHoo!!!  I'm sure some was water loss and some was because I went from doing 0 movement to doing my 10,000 steps.. :-)  Today is my free day so I will still wear my pedometer but work on getting steps.  Then Sunday I will be back to getting at least 10,000 steps in and Monday counting calories.  I keep my calories higher than most people and it works for me.  I mean when you are used to eating over 3000 calories per day cutting it back to 2000 is alot plus adding exercise you weren't doing.  So even though I set my calorie goal high and have a free day it is still less that what I was consuming before.. :-)

I went through my Light and Tasty, Cooking Light and Eat Better America stuff and got some recipes for this next week.  They are so yummy and normal foods just lightened up.

Nosebleeds

This time of year is so rough for me.  Nosebleeds from hell!  Soooo last night we were watching the OU game and lost.. *sniff*  but I had to go in and do my nose and here came a nosebleed.  Got it stopped, not a bad one like last week, thank God!  But it always gets me down but I have to keep fighting through it this time.  I didn't count calories, decided to start that next week but am cutting back a little.  Working on getting my steps in this week.  Got in 10,000 last night!!  I am so happy to at least be doing that again after 2 months not doing any thing!

Day 1

Well I counted my calories for breakfast stopped after that when my hubby decided we needed to eat the rest of the leftovers from New Years eve so they would be out of the house.  That is what we had for lunch.  Dinner I had 1 bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup and was going to have some apple pie but decided I was full and didn't need it.  :-)   I was real happy to get walking in again finally!!!  I got in 10,000 steps!!!  No Leslie tape but getting there.. :-)
