I'm A Peeker!
Good afternoon ladies! Good news- my peek on the scale said 186! This peeking really keeps me motivated. LOL! Just had my yummy JC breakfast scramble, orange and coffee. I seriously don't know how some of you dislike the scramble! I love it! I feel like I am eating a real breakfast when I eat it! LOL. I add 1 Tbsp of ketchup and yummo!! Delish!
Well, I finally received my Windsor Pilates DVDs in the mail, which I won off of eBay. I got 7 DVDs and a yoga/pilates mat for $50!! What a bargain! I am excited to try it out. I'll let you all know how it went.
Have a great day and a wonderful weekend. Do some exercise- your body will thank you! And drink that water, girls!

Oranges Are Great!
Good morning ladies. Just finished my Breakfast Stuffed Sandwich and orange, now working on my coffee. Luckily, a friend let me in on a secret that oranges are our friends. You are sooo right, M! Thanks!
I decided on my next mini goal since I successfully met the last one: I am going to attempt to reach the 170's by Easter! It seems to be quite a lofty goal, but I am going to go for it! I am hoping that the exercise is kicking my metabolism into high gear!! I know you all will do your best to keep me in line and give me all the encouragement I need!!
So, there is nothing going on this week that will get me off track. Thankfully! No parties, dinners or other events to thwart my success. I am setting a goal to exercise 6 times this week. I know that I feel good after I do it and it really gets my metabolism going!
I hope you all are having a great day. The weekend is almost here!! Enjoy every minute of your day. Drink up that water! :D

Baby Steps
Hello ladies! Quick post, gotta go to work and haven't eaten lunch yet. WI showed a 1.2 pound loss! I'll take it! I've been having a problem with going to the bathroom, so I am sure when that clears up I'll be even lighter! LOL!!
I made it to my goal of 25 lbs down by my 5th month weigh in! In total, I am down 26 lbs. I'm going to come up with my next mini goal today. I'll post it here next time. At the least, I really want to exercise everyday this week. I was so busy last week, and only got in 3 days. I think that really makes the difference with me! Got my 3 mile walk in already today!
Hope everyone has a great day! Drink that water and get that body moving!

Girlfriends Are Great!
Good morning everyone. Just got back from walking the dog; it is really beautiful here today.
Last night with my girlfriends was great. They all loved the house and the charm that it has. We noshed on spinach-artichoke dip [Mmmm!], pigs in the blanket, mini spinach knishes, chips with salsa, pretzels, cheese with crackers and drank good wine. For dinner we had my neighborhood's famous pizza and salad. For dessert, it was coffee and cheesecake! What a feast! Everyone left felling really full and fulfilled! I love spending time with my HS buddies. I am so fortunate that we are all still close.
As for me, I had a little of everything appetizer-wise, one slice of regular pizza that I took the oil off of with a paper towel, salad, a small piece of cheesecake and coffee. Hopefully, I didn't do too much damage that I will still see a loss tomorrow. I'm planning on drinking lots of water and keep the food down to the bare minimum today. This shouldn't be hard to do, since I have to go back to work! Luckily, these get togethers with the girls only happen once every couple of months!
So ladies, I need to get into the living room and do my WATP DVD. I wasn't able to do any exercise yesterday, since I had an unexpected visit from BF's Mom [she wanted to see our new sofa], which lasted 3 hours! She is a lovely woman, and such a joy to talk to. Today, I will do my 45 min walk and then do my 30 min Pilates DVD. I can't wait until my Windsor Pilates 5-dvd set comes in the mail! I am so excited to switch things up!
I will be thinking about you all tomorrow when I am at my WI at 9:50am!! Keep exercising and drinking that water, people!

Mmmm Cake!
Good morning everyone! Happy Sunday! The sun is shining bright here in NY and I just finished my Low Sugar oatmeal and 1/2 c of strawberries. Yummo! Found myself peeking on the scale this morning (thanks for the habit, Golferchick!) and I was down to 185!! Of course, it was nice to see, I even made BF look at the scale since I did not believe it! LOL. Regardless, I don't have WI until Wed, so I'll just wait until then to see what the scale says.
Today will be a day of cleaning my house. I moved into this place in January with my BF. We live in his uncle's home, who is in Arizona for the winter. He will be selling the house this summer and we may see if we can try to buy it. Houses in the neighborhood are pretty steep [probably $650k or more for this house] which is not easy to manage on 2 cops' salaries! So, we'll see... Anyway, I'm having my girlfriends over tomorrow night for dinner, hence the cleaning fest today! They haven't been here yet. Each one of my friends will be bringing something: appetizer, salad, wine, dessert and I will be supplying the pizza. My town is known for amazing pizza! Needless to say, I will be eating light the whole day so I can enjoy a slice at night!
So, went to BF's family's house to celebrate his sister's Birthday last night. Ate my JC chicken pasta parm and salad, then had coffee and 2 small slices of yellow cake with chocolate frosting. Don't even feel guilty about it. The cake was scrumptious and the company was wonderful. I had a really good time. His family rocks! I guess the damage wasn't bad considering what the scale said this morning [185!] Or, maybe it was my workout with BF this morning! LOL! Ok, TMI... Enjoy your day!

Party, Party!
Hello everyone! Happy Saturday! Yesterday went well for me. I went to the St. Pat's party with my JC breakfast in my belly. I ate a whole wheat scooped out bagel with jelly for a little snack, and at the party only ate 1/2 sandwich on pumpernickel. It was a bit of turkey, ham and American cheese. Then had some pretzels and one mug of beer. That is all I had all day. Then I got home, had my JC dinner and salad. For snack I had my FF hot cocoa and 100 cal pack of cinnamon Goldfish- Yummo! All in all, I think I did very well!
Finally had a chance to exercise today. The past 3 days have been crazy with my tours changing, so I haven't been able to get in my WATP or pilates dvd. Today, I did the 3-mile walk with weights and 15 minute Energy Boost Pilates workout. It felt good to sweat again! I know I won't lose another 4 lbs this week, but I want to make sure that I get in at least 4 days of exercise so that I still have a good loss!! I wanna reach my goal of 188.2 lbs at my JC 5 month anniversary! I'm almost there!
So, tonight may be a bit of a challenge. BF and I will be at his family's home to celebrate his sister's B'day. A homemade dinner and cake will be involved. I may allow myself a sliver of cake, but will most likely eat my JC meal. I will see what kind of cake it is first! Maybe not! I'll keep you updated on how it all went!
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! Keep at it and drink that water! Don't forget to exercise!

Monday, Monday!
Happy Monday to everyone! I hope this week is a great one for us all! I am happy to report that I did very well at dinner with BF last night. I stepped away from the pot roast and had herb roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, salad with LF dressing (I brought my own) and 1/2 dinner roll. No alcohol for me- I drank diet coke with lemon, water with lemon and a cup of coffee. All in all, I think I did great! I can't lie though, I did want to dive into BF's shepard's pie! Yummo! Luckily, he had carrot cake for dessert, which I find revolting. Thankfully!
So, I peeked on the scale this morning after I woke up and it said 188.5!!! OMG!! I cannot believe it! I got off and on the scale 3 times because I didn't believe it! Talk about a motivator to keep exercising! My goal was to hit 188.2 by March 22nd, which is my JC 5 month anniversary, and then I'd be down 25 pounds. I am hoping that the scale doesn't act stupid and go up again on Wed at WI! I have not seen the 180's since 2004! As I am sure you all can imagine- I am ecstatic! I will not change my weight graph though. I'm going to wait until my official WI.
So, I did the pilates dvd that I bought on Sat. It was ok. It is geared for someone who needs to do a quick 30 minute workout, but has already had a base in pilates exercise. I do not have such base. So, I followed along best I could and did the 30 min workout. There is also a 15 minute workout on there, and I did that one too. So, yesterday was 45 minutes of half-assed pilates! LOL. I gotta tell ya though, my abs can feel it today. I am going to buy "Windsor Pilates" so that I can learn the basics. I have seen a lot of infomercials on it, Daisy Fuentes is the spokeswoman, and have heard good things about the program. I'll give you all a full review! Has anyone here tried Windsor Pilates? Let me know what you think.
So, I am back to work this afternoon. My partner is out sick [he was in an RMP accident when I left work early one day- RMP means 'Radio Motor Patrol' aka police car]. When he isn't around, I usually drive the Sergeant, but he is on vacation. Who knows what I'll end up doing today! I am sure whatever it is, I won't be bored! Have a wonderful day everyone, and a fabulous week! Drink that water and do that exercise!!

I WILL NOT SABOTAGE MYSELF!
Hello everyone! Happy Sunday. The weather in NY is rainy. Just got back from taking the pooch for a walk. Needless to say, he was not loving the rain! The past two days have been going pretty well. I did not do the WATP dvd yesterday, but took Leo for a long walk- 1 hour. It was not that brisk [he has really short legs] but the roads are not totally flat here, so I decided that it was a decent substitute for my exercise.
Went to Target and bought "Quick Start Pilates for Weight Loss" with Ana Caban. It is a 45 workout and comes with a CD also. After I get off the computer, I am going to try it. Hopefully I will be able to follow along and get a good workout!
Tonight I am taking my BF, out to dinner to celebrate his transfer to Highway Patrol. We will be going to one of our favorite Irish Pub/Restaurants. The food there is delish!! It will take some willpower to NOT order the pot roast [Yummo!] but I have been doing sooo awesome this week, with exercise and sticking to plan like crazy glue- I'm not gonna screw it up now! Not to mention, next week is going to be a killer! I have the annual St. Patrick's Day parade in NYC and the party afterwards. Then, next Monday, I am having my girlfriends over to my place for dinner. So, I want to really kick ass at WI this week! I gotta make my goal of 188.2 by March 22!
Well everyone, I'm going to surf around the net some more then do my exercise. I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. If the past 2 days have been a challenge, just remember that tomorrow is the start of a new day and a new week!!
Spring is right around the corner!! Drink that water and do that exercise. It will keep you motivated and make you strong. Not to mention, it helps keep you out of depression. Have a wonderful day!
P.S. I added a few new pics. Enjoy!

Not Bad. Not Bad At All.
So, I had my precinct function tonight. While everyone there pigged out on corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, Irish soda bread, cake, etc. I ate salad. Let me repeat: I ATE SALAD!
Needless to say to all of you out there in dietland, this was no small feat! This meal is one of my favorites, and let me tell ya- it looked and smelled good. But you know what I decided? I said to myself, "Self. This is not the last shindig that you will be at in your lifetime. There will be many more parties and a lot more cake in your future. Now is not the time to sabotage yourself. Self, step away from the food!"
This silly little conversation with myself did occur and did, in fact, work! It wasn't easy, but I ate salad with a few spoons of Italian vinegarette, and sucked it up. Sometimes you just gotta. I'll be damned if I don't give it my best effort to hit my goal of 188.2 by March 22nd!
As far as the alcohol consumption goes, I saved fats from earlier in the day and had 3- 12 oz. ciders. Not great, but not bad either. As far as I am concerned, the food was my major obstacle where the majority of the damage would have been done. I know that if I let myself eat just one slice of bread, [with butter of course] it would've undone all that I have been doing this week! Not to mention, I did another 3 mile walk today with good ol' Leslie Sansone.
I think I am doing pretty damn good! I am proud of myself!
