Now Is Not The Time...

To lose weight. Though I am at my heaviest of all time, this battle of the bulge will have to wait. Again. Why, you ask? It's because my husband and I will be welcoming child #2 in December. Though I had hoped that I wouldn't be so overweight the next time I got pregnant, it just didn't work out that way. I had five months to get back on track before I found out I was carrying peanut #2 and I did not rise to the occasion. Rather, I failed miserably. I lost 30 lbs of baby weight after two weeks PP, a few more lbs when I joined WW, then gained some of it back when I fell off the wagon. I am starting this pregnancy 25 lbs. heavier than the first one. I pray that my severe obesity does not adversely affect the little life growing inside of me. I almost vomited when I stepped on the scale at the OB's office today and it registered 260 lbs. Well, I can't diet now, but I can make healthier food choices. I can choose to go walking with my daughter before I go to work in the afternoon. If only I could find the energy to do more than all that I am already doing now. Some positive vibes would be much appreciated.

OMG!  Congratulations!

Beautiful baby and congrats!

Hey girl, I am sending you mucho hugs!  I hope you are able to have some time every day to rest.  Are you working for the rest of the year?  I use mother's day out at our church.  Girl, I love my mornings out! :-)  I can also appreciate being overweight and pregnant again.  You know, I was so worried about what the pregnancy would do to my body, but that was actually a breeze.  The hard part is focusing on myself now that baby is here.  Keep writing and connecting here!  Hugs, Steph Is that a sun behind a cloud?

Baby #1 is beautiful...Baby #2 will be beautiful and healthy, too!

Well, I think that I've found out one thing.  Life does not exactly flow in the direction of dieters!  LOL  And babies DO NOT come at convenient times.  SO...you're right...dieting is not an option, but you can make healthy food choices for the baby and you can walk and make yourself strong.  This is what you can do that is best for you and baby.  Good luck and keep us posted!

Yay!

Congrats! I know exactly how you feel. I do not want to get pregnant again at this weight. Just watch out for gestational diabetes--eating healthy and walking is your best option, but I know how hard that is. The first three months I was pregnant, all my body craved was processed carbs (french fries, rice krispies, rice) and dairy. The weight just piled on.

But you're right, now is not the time for dieting. Good luck with everything!

Congratulations!

Hey Girly!

Long time no chat!  Congrats on #2 coming soon!  I think your plan is a good one...make healthy food choices and walk.  I will say a friend of mine was very overweight when she got pregnant and after she had the baby, she was much thinner.  She wasn't trying to lose weight and was eating good.  So I guess it is possible...but I'm not suggesting you diet at all!!  It's all being healthy right now for you and your baby!

So what else is new?  Did you go back to work or are you still off?
