I just realized that I didn't do a follow up post after my WI last Thursday! JC scale showed a 4.4 lb loss. Not bad for Week 1. Especially not bad since I haven't jumped on the exercise bandwagon as of yet! The food is tasting good again, much to my happiness! One of the reasons I left JC in the first place, was because I was sick of the food! So, I really like it again!! Yay!
I am happy to report that taking Alli has been working out great! No "treatment effects" for me!! I am sure this has a lot to do with the fact that by eating JC food, I am eating very low fat, so there isn't much fat to metabolize anyway. I also don't even feel anything when I take the pills. I actually wonder if they are working! But, my daily BAN shows me back in Onederland! So, I have an 8 lb loss [according to my scale] since I started JC almost 2 weeks ago. Not too shabby if I do say so myself!
If only I could get on my friggin treadmill! I have been so lazy and I have no real reason for it! I mean, I am working the same 43 hours per week that I always work, and still- I stare at the machine as I type this! And what is more annoying- I would lose faster if I would do some exercise!! I need some motivation people! Help snap me out of it! Tough love is expected and welcomed!!
Hope you all are having a great day! Enjoy the holiday tomorrow!! Just step away from the hot dogs!!
ETA: I did get off my butt and get on the treadmill!! I did 20 minutes of fast walking/jogging and it felt great! Let's hope I do it again tomorrow! Thanks for the motivational kicks everyone!!

Congrats!
That is an excellent loss! I kept checking back on you to see if you had posted or not since you had done so well last week. :) Good for you!
Exercise.. it's not really tough love but I'll tell you what I tell myself whenever I don't feel like working out. If I don't workout -- I'm 99.9% of the time sorry that I didn't. When I do workout, I am NEVER sorry that I did.
Good luck! ...and just get on the treadmill for 15 minutes and see how you feel.. :)
That's just the jump start you needed! Now, before you let yourself get on the computer and post to EP, know that you are REQUIRED (!!) to do at least 20 mins on the treadmill. Then you can post to us and we will comment how fabulous you are and a wonderful cycle of positivity will ensue.
For you! 8 pounds is awesome in 2 weeks. So you think that Alli is working in addition to JC? does it still work if you dont take in over 15 grams of fat? Does it get rid of 25% of fat no matter what? Even if it is a small amount? Glad to hear that have not had any alli oops! that would suck.
You are almost 1/3 the way to your wedding goal. How are your wedding plans coming along? Cant wait to hear about it and see pics!!! Hugs to you!!!
I'm sure I posted this somewhere else, but the best treadmill trick is to plan on walking at a slower pace for, say, 3 minutes and then faster for two and then slower for 3 again and keep doing that. Set a timer for 1/2 hour and DO NOT look at a regular clock - just the one on your treadmill. You will be so occupied getting to 2 minutes or to 3 minutes that you won't be on there going, "Man, FIFTEEN more minutes to GO???" I have no attention span (LOL) so if this works for me, give it a try!
Congrats on your upcoming sept wedding and your weight loss. I'm also planning for a spring 2008 wedding myself and i'm freaking nervous about losing the weight in time for the strapless white dress. don't want to look like a snow beast!!
Check you out..See I am glad that Alli is working for you! That is awesome that you lost! I have all the guys at work telling me that I am SOO skinny..Yeah right...I am skinnier than before..you know the vest and belt doesnt help...It is wicked hot down here so I have been sweating my weight off too. Girly, I cant find time to get back in the swing of working out. I know that I will drop the weight quicker but I am so busy with work. I set a goal to walk here or there while I am working. My friend Harry...he used to work for NYPD and started with us 3 or 4 years ago...he told me too bad we dont have the "walking beat" down here cause I would be losing crazy amounts of weight. Well...Keep up the great work!
That's the only way I can do it. I read an article that says once you start to have the conversation in your heard should I/shouldn't I -- you've already lost.
So -- I do it first thing in the morning. It's done and out of the way. If I tell myself I'll do it later, after my errands, after my chores "something" always comes up.
Also, great job on starting with 20 minutes. I've found when I set up some grandiose (read: ridiculously ambitious) "I'll do 90 minutes of cardio/day" it just NEVER happens and then I feel like I've failed and my spoon is in the ice cream before the day is through -- and I still haven't exercised.
So, it's 5:30 est and I'm meeting a friend for a trail walk. Making a commitment to meet a friend also helps me keep my word to myself.
Hey girl - tough love - well I can give tough love eating the JC meals. I understand being a bit weary of them, yes. But, does it work or what? I mean easy breezy and you know you are not eating too much.
say - try the meatball sandwich with some bruschetta of tomato, basil, garlic, and red wine vinegar! I eat that with the pizzas too!
Ok, so I know that you are way busy, but, hey let us know how you are doing!!! How is JC going as welll as the Alli. And the house deal??? I am sure that you are busy packing, moving and unpacking. Just think of all the calories you are burning by all of this!!!
Just wanted to check in and see how you are doing!! hugs, -M
Okay, I know you're married by now. But where the heck are ya? I'm thinking about you and just wanted to let you know. I hope EP sends this email notification!
