Hi all! Sorry I have been MIA for a while. Work has been crazy and the wedding planning is taking up most of my free time. FH and I had his children with us this weekend and unfortunately, the 2 boys were really sick! I never cleaned up so much vomit and wiped so many little butts in my life! Lol! They had that horrible virus that is going around. And at 4 and 6 years old- it is just miserable to deal with! Luckily, FH and I were able to take off from work on Monday, and we kept them with us another day. They went home to their Mommy last night. Poor babies. Looking on the bright side- at least FH's daughter [she's 2 & 1/2] wasn't sick too!! She had the virus last week! Whew!
On the weight loss front, I am moving right along! My only problem has been getting in more than 3 days of exercise. I started Week 4 on the C25K program yesterday, and I am feeling great. But my feet have been bothering me a bit so I am refraining from doing running or fast walking on my days off from the program. I am going to get my Pilates dvd back in action so that I can keep my commitment of doing 5days/week of exercise.
Happily, several people have donated to the Revlon 5K Run/Walk for Women on my fundraising site! I am really excited to be able to participate in this great charity event. Here's a link in case you'd like to donate a few dollars: http://tinyurl.com/2guubv. That's all that is going on with me right now. Gotta get ready for work! Check in with you all later!! Have a great day everyone!

Sicklings
Sick children are so heart breaking. And, nerve wracking when you are the one cleaning them up. I'm glad they had somebody there to do it. WTG! Sounds like you're doing a great job still. You are going to look great in your wedding dress!
It's important to have a good pair of running shoes... not necessarily expensive ones, but ones that fit you properly and provide support based on YOUR foot. You can find a great deal of information about the proper shoes (and sometimes some great deals) at this site: http://www.roadrunnersports.com/. Keep up the great work... sorry the weekend was a bust. Glad you and FH managed to stay healthy through it all.
Hey girl, I know you are so busy right now. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Will you be taking pics before the wedding? If so, I hope you post an engagement pic! Oh wait - I am adding to your to do list! BAD blogger friend!
Been there ....done that with my 3! LOL...not fun...
ANyways...seems like you are focused...remember...treat your exercise like it's a fun thing ...for YOU...make it to be a chore and it wil be just that....find a way to have some fun with it...like taking the lil pup of yours for a walk now that its gettin warmer out...how is the lil doggie anyways...havent heard you talk about him much?
I'm going to be walking more ...the temp is going up and its all i can do for exercise other than floor work right now..but im hoping to get an elliptical soon!
Finding time to plan a wedding and get healthy and blog is quite a challenge. We understand that you don't always have time for us! When I was planning my wedding, I consciously waited until after the wedding to lose weight. I just didn't think I could do both. Though I now hate looking at how fat I was in my wedding pictures, I know I probably would have failed at the weight loss or the planning or both if I had tried to do everything at once. Do your best!
So sorry the kids were so sick, that does not sound like a fun weekend for anyone!
Take it easy on your feet - dont want to harm them. I remember you had a hard time with them about a year ago also. Do you wear anything in your shoes to help?
I hope that everyone is feeling better and hoping that neither you or M get it!
...except I was the one experiencing it, not looking after it. Suffice to say having been through it Norwalk sucks beyond belief (though is surprisingly good for weight loss). Hope you managed to avoid getting it - both because it sucks, and because we need superheroes like you to keep fighting crime! Hope your feet are treating you well. Don't feel bad about taking well earned rest days to give your whole body a break. Twinkletoes aren't so twinkly when they are angry and hurting! Hang in there!
