New Bike
O.k. new to me. I was able to get a $400 bike for $200. It's a friend of my husbands Trekk (sp). I'm not a bike afficionado but I enjoyed my 20 minute ride (and this time my rear didn't even hurt)! I guess my running has paid off in other areas too. So now I shall incorporate running and riding. UUmmm, 20 minute rides in the morning is something I can do b/c it doesn't take as long as my run! Wahoooooo.

New hair cut
was a resounding success with dh! I'm a little surprised since he adores long hair (his family actually threatened me :o) if I cut it). He said it was sexy.
I will post pics as soon as I can. We're not quite up to speed to the digital age yet. I'll get my dh to take a pic w/ our Nikon. I'm already thinking of maybe a little shorter. It's not drastic but definitely noticeable.
On another note: IT'S HOT HERE! Heat index will be 100-108 today. Did I mention DH has a roofing company?

Too cut or not too cut?
NEED ADVICE!
I want to cut my hair off at the neck/chin area. DH loves it long. But it's so freaking hot around here and will just get hotter. Look at pics and give advice! Please.
Keep in mind I'm about 10 lbs. less too :o).

.3 loss for the week? 175.1
I was actually down to 173.9 Sat. morning. Whatever! I'll chalk it up to impending TOM :o(. Last week (late) I started eating my 0 pt. soup for a snack during the day and guess what I think it helps in my weight loss (despite it not showing right now). I really did get down to 173.9. Maybe I should move my WI date to Wed. We shall see what I weigh on Wed :o).
My official WI - 175.1
I'm now up to running 2.5 miles/day. DH actually tried running with me yesterday. It was too painful for him :o). I run just fast enough he can't keep up fast walking but just slow enough it's a pain for him. So I guess no more running w/ DH. I really did want the old guys at the assisted living center to see him w/ me. It may sound stupid but I hate it when people try to talk to me (hey, can I run with you etc.) It messes up my concentration and thoughts (which is part of the reason I run). So far it's my best route so I can't just change it. I tend to run later in the day and the local cops drive by a lot and there's a sidewalk (yeah).

Couldn't resist
updating my weight since I'm lower. I will try to stick to Mon. only but I don't think it will work. :o)
I ran 2.3 miles yesterday in the hot NC heat! Man it felt good, but it was hard. I made a big batch of 0 pt. soup to eat for snacks. A lot of people on the ww boards attributes eating this to their increased loss and the first day I tried it I lost - so we'll see, the jury's still out. It could have just been h2o weight from my uti.

Yoga?
Okay, I bought Rodney Yee's Power Yoga and tried it last night. It hurt my knees? I'm going to give it a couple of more tries b/c it's actually quite tough. I couldn't finish the whole thing b/c of my knees so I finished off w/ a FIRM video. I was able to do the whole video w/ heavy weights (when used) and the signature FIRM move w. the stairs stacked (as they should be). I had been using just the 8 inch :o).
I didn't run yesterday at all and I didn't run this morning. I think the morning is out the door. DH just won't let me get to sleep early and unlike some people I can't function off of 6.5 hours sleep.

Urrggghhh, UTI
Can you believe this, I have a friend in FL who is pg and was telling me she had a UTI but her dr. wouldn't grant her an appt. She had to insist on one. The same day she emailed me (yesterday), that afternoon I started having symptoms! You know wanting to pee all the time w/ no ummm satisifaction.
Hence, I ran 1 to 1 1/2 miles in the morning and nothing else. I gained a whole lb. this morning and I'm just going to assume it's fluid retention. UTI's are evil! I haven't had one in years (so long that I don't remember it, just know I've had one before). I'm going to have to work my butt off tonight and try to re-start my early morning jog tomorrow since I didn't do it this morning.

I did it!
Well, I lost my first post but here goes again:
I got up at 6 am and ran this morning. I didn't get to run 2 miles b/c I miss judged the amount of time it would take me to walk to my starting point etc. So tomorrow I will wake up earlier (hopefully) and run the full 2 miles. Tonight after work I will do a video and this will be my new daily routine 6 days a week. Hopefully I can do this for 21 days and make it a habit. But, I LOVE MY SLEEP!!!! I don't think people understand how hard it is to give up. DH won't let me get to sleep earlier then 10 and I really like 8 hrs of sleep. (It takes me a while to fall asleep).
I'm taking talie05's advice and going to look at some yoga videos at Target on my lunch break. Thank you for the suggestions. I checked out the sites and videos you recommended and their sold at Target for less! Yeah. Spending money to save money :o).
I mowed last night instead of running. It took an hour to mow the front lawn while dh mowed the back, which takes even longer. We only have .5 acres. On that .5 acres sits a house, storage shed, bushes, driveway etc and it still takes that long! It's the area. I grew up mowing our my families lawn and you just wouldn't believe it until you've mowed ours. Definitely a good workout especially for the back!

I have decided . . .
that in order to have a "pretty graph" I will make Mon. my official wi and record that. However, I'm still neurotic and will continue to weigh every day for myself!
Well, I didn't run this weekend but I did walk 6 miles on the beach w/ dh Sat. night. Yahooo. It was actually some what deserted considering this is the middle of the summer and tourist season. It was nice. My plan to wake up early and jog has not worked yet either. Darn those pesky sleep demons :o).
I did decrease my points and guess what, today I'm officially at the weight that I should decrease so I guess I'm doing good! BTW: if you're going to Cracker Barrell and are having a hard time finding pts. values for their food check out www.dwlz.com. She was a life saver this weekend when dh wanted "to celebrate" my care going over 100k. We use any old reason to celebrate :o). Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and I know in my heart you're all a bunch of losers!!!

URGGHHH. Why can't I be a normal female and only have weight problems once a month during AF instead of twice a month during AF and ovulation? It tends to mess up my joy in weight loss. I know it's temporary but it still sucks!
