My first week of my weight loss journey

This is my first entry and my first blog.. This is the third time I have had to retype this message. I keep doing something and what I typed vanishes!!
My friend "triplets" found this website and encouraged me to log on..  We are both trying to loose weight. It is nice to have the support!
This is my first week on phentermine.  I take 15 mg once per day before breakfast.  My doctor will probably only let me stay on it for 8 weeks. 
The only side effect I have had is dry mouth. I haven't really minded it because I drink a lot of water and have been able to cut down on pop. 
I weighed myself this morning because it has been one week and I want to track my progress weekly.  I was down 12 pounds.  I was amazed.  I didn't loose 12 pounds the whole last year. 
I have been eating well and doing some exercising.  I eat a small breakfast which is usually 2 pieces of cheese for some protein. I have a snack mid morning and I try to stick to fruit.  I eat a variety of things for lunch.  I try to do sandwiches and salads.  For supper I eat pretty balanced with protein, carbs and veggies.  I take calcium because I don't drink milk. 
This week I still have gotten the feeling of being hungry but it is less frequent and I am not able to eat as much.  I love it!  The phentermine has  eliminated all my cravings for suger and salty stuff.  It surprises me how little my body really needs to function,  Tonight I did have a piece of cake because my twins turned 5!  I think I will be forgiven for one piece of cake!!
I belong to Curves and I go 2 times each week.  I would love to go more but my and my husbands schedules don't seem to allow for that. I get a third time of exercise usually walking.  I know I will need to be adding some more exercise as my journey continues.
I would love to hear from those of you that are on or have used phentermine.  I would like to know what kind of weight loss I can expect in the weeks to come.I imagine it will start to slow down some. I also would like to know how hard it is to maintain or continue to loose after the phentermine.
