Good Morning...walked the Walk America thing today with my kids. We got there about an hour early, so we made due by playing some of the games they had set up at the location. I did this walk with not only my kids (6 yrs old) my best friend, Tammy & her 3 kids, and also with Sarah & her twins. We also saw a lot of people from our Mothers of Multiples club. Well, I did great on my food today. It as nice to have another good day! I think the scale will continue to go down! I have discipline that I have never felt befe.
Take care and we will seee you all tomorrow...I am so tired I am starting to doze off at the computer.
Wow, what a beautiful day we just had in Iowa. The temp was around 75 and there was a breeze! My family spent the entire day outside! We did quite a bit of yardwork and got some much needed scraping done to an old garage that needs repainting. Our neighbors will appreciate it when it is done. According to the activity log...I kicked butt today! I really did a lot of hard labor that kept me sweating for hours. Makes you feel good to accomplish something and know that you're getting healthy doing it. I did great on my food today too! Ate a great breakfast to get my metabolism going and then ate well the rest of the day. We have a busy day tomorrow...we are doing the March of Dimes Family Walk at 9am, have a birthday party and also need to get some additional yardwork done before the weekend is over. I'm just tired thinking about it. I am off to bed early tonight. I haven't gotten to bed before 2am in the past 3 nights and have always been up and going before 8am. I hope you all enjoy your Sunday.
Well, it has been a busy day and I really did great! Got a lot of housework done this morning and then my mom came to town. We went to a Signature Homestyles party which was held at a pizza restaurant. We walked in a bit late because we were at our local home improvement store buying mulch. Isn't it funny how when you don't need a store employee to help you, they are all over you but the minute you need someone...you can't find them! We purchased 10 huge bags of mulch and when we pulled into the lumberyard to pick it up, I ended up doing all the loading. I guess I got a mini-workout right there. I managed to avoid 'most' of the pizza. I did indulge in 2 small pieces of cheese bread. I was proud of myself for that because this place makes pretty good pizza. After the party we headed to the store to get me something I could eat. I ended up with a frozen dinner and we headed to my friends to visit for a few hours. I am proud of being able to walk away and not go crazy at the pizza place. I did some strength training exercises on Thurs. and boy do I feel the burn today! I keep saying it is good pain! I have a full day of yardwork tomorrow so I hope my legs are feeling better. Again...thanks for the support and comments! I look forward to logging on to see what everyone is doing and how successful their weightloss is. Any advice is always welcome!
Just got home from my mothers of multiples monthly dinner out. Well, I can honestly say that I am EXTREMELY proud of myself! I stuck to my plan of what I was going to eat and didn't faulter! I didn't even eat any of those biscuits! I am so thrilled to find out that I actually have some willpower! I will say that I could have probably done without the shrimp cocktail and cocktail sauce, but I will know better next time. I stayed within my allotted calories for the day and feel pretty good...tired, but good. I made myself log in my food before going to bed so I would be sure to do it. Again, thanks for all the support and the kind words! You guys are definitely making this weightloss thing a bit easier for me! Have a great Friday!
I am so excited that I was able to stick to my food plan today and even did some exercise! I had a little one home sick today and that didn't even throw me off! I am feeling good and know that this site is helping me to keep myself in check! The Easter candy is still here and today...not a problem! If it seems to be tomorrow...I throwing it all away! Tomorrow will be a challenge...my mothers of multiples club has mom's night out at Red Lobster. Normally I would indulge like crazy but I have already gone on their website and picked out what I am going to have. I am staying away from those cheddar biscuits because they are EVIL! Can you believe that each one of those things has 160 calories, 9 grams of fat and 17 carbs!!!! Wow! Definitely makes me want to NEVER eat those again! My husband about fell over when I gave him that information. He said he will be staying away from them too! I have a busy rest of the week and weekend so hopefully the craziness helps to keep my mind off of food and that I can get some exercise in during these days! The weather is supposed to perk up here over the next day or so...I like Spring, but I hate the rain! Thanks to everyone who has given me a shout out! I am thankful to all of you for your support and advice! As hard as it is for some people to understand, talking to complete strangers and seeking their praise is definitely a positive thing. Keep your chins up!
Well...it's 6:30pm and I haven't had any Easter candy! That darn candy has been killing me the last few days! I have just wanted it and wanted it...PMS, I can't even blame it on that! I did really well on my food today...water was exceptional! I think I am going to float away! Went to the doctor today and talked to her about prescribing a dietary supplement. She is going to put me on Phentermine to see if it helps. If anyone is on this medication and has some words of advice I would greatly appreciate it. Have a great Wednesday!
After a tough food day, I decided not to end on a bad note and went for a walk after the kids were in bed. It felt good to get out there and do something. It was hard toward the end (I've been drinking so much water I had to pee - LOL), but I managed to walk almost 2 miles in 40 minutes. Pretty good for someone my size! I owned up to what I ate in my food log and will look back at it and make sure I do better going forward! I'm feeling really good about my attitude toward losing weight and know that with the support of my best friend (tru2j) I will do great! Thanks for the positive support! I would love to hear from people and start making some good, positive contacts! Have a great Monday evening!
Well, it has been a pretty good day so far. I have been able to avoid temptation even though 3 late Easter baskets full of candy arrived today for my triplets. Boy do I love chocolate...but it has a tendency to make me crazy! I just don't know when to stop!
My kids are in kindergarten and had an early dismissal today. They have some friends over so right now there are 9 kids here all either 5 or 6 yrs. old. They are actually playing very well together...a little fighting amongst the girls, but the boys are having a ball!
I am looking through pictures to see which ones I want to post of myself. I am looking for my "biggest" picture to make sure I see how bad I really look. I think it will definitely keep me motivated to lose the weight.
Promised the kids I would take them out for ice cream with the neighbor boy. I know this is a challenge I can meet head on!!!
Well, I actually put my weight on this site so that says to me that I am ready to lose the weight! I don't know if I have ever shared that information with anyone...except my doctor (and that was only because I had to!).
My best friend and I are going to do this together...we are very supportive to one another and I know we will be there for the successes and also will be there to kick each others butts when one of us is slacking! I look forward to taking this journey with her.
I have spent several hours reading a lot of blogs tonight and definitely feel inspired by a lot of them. Some of those before and after photos are amazing! Thanks for sharing. I intend to post some photos to make sure I can see the results like a lot of you!
Before I close...my heart goes out to all those who are suffering after this terrible disaster at Virginia Tech. What a world we live in. How do you explain to your children why people do these things? Not an easy task I will say!
