Day 21. I love the training season!

Strating weight 133.5
I had a 10k race this morning. A pretty hilly course which was good for me since the half marathon next week will be like that also! I finished exactly at 59 minutes. I am pretty happy about the result just because of all the hills that had to deal with. After that we ran a quick 2.5k just to get a semi long run out of it. I will be resting for the rest of the day. Next training run is tomorrow evening at 5.
 
 

Day 20

Starting weight 133.5 lbs :o)
I was too busy to log waht I ate today. I would say I had anywhere around 1500 to 1800 calories. For activities, I rode with my friends for 56 Kilometer in the morning.

Day 19

Today I was at my friend's birthday potluck lunch so you can imagine how hard it was not to eat a lot. I couldn't log everything on Fitday because I can't find all the little pieces of food that I ate (from cheese to Indian food) on their list. Overall I really watched what I ate and left early for a parent teacher conference, so didn't even have cake! For dinner I had some baked chicken with small potaoes. The only thing that I regret having today was a piece of banana bread (50 grams) that I ate after dinner, which was really not necessary.
On my list of activities, I did spin class in the morning and then an 8k run in the evening.

Day 18

Satrting weight 134 lbs :o)
I am amazed by how our bodeis work. Let me go back a little and explain what I mean. Yeterday starting in the early afternoon I started feeling really hungry. I tried very hard to snack only on healthy food till about 6 in the evening, but I was dreaming of a juicy sandwich by then. My kids asked me if we can order Ribs from Tony Roma's for dinner and I thought that will be great since they have a semi healthy grilled chicken sandwich on the menu. So sure enough that's what I did. I ate that sandwich with so much passion that you wouldn't believe :o) I loved every bit of it. I also had some fries with it but really watched not to eat too many!!!!! After that I decided I am not going to feel guilty about it. I am working my a-- off with training everyday and Gosh darn it, I deserved that sandwich :o)
So you can imagine that last thing I expected this morning was to see that I had dropped more than a pound. That made me very happy. I am also happy that I didn't overeat last night. I had my sandwich and then stopped it right there. What I mean is that last night was different from last Saturday when I just pigged out. Lastnight my body needed that energy where as on Saturday I was just eating everything for the heck of it. I hated the feeling on Saturday because I was out of control. Last night I made a choice and controlled myself from slipping off the wagon, and from over eating. The lesson learned is that once in a while you can have a break and feel good about it also.
Now, here is the rest of the story. This morning I ran 12k first and then taught a spin calss and after that I swam 1k and I felt so strong just because I had enough energy. That means the food last night was enough, not too much, and was needed for my body. That is another reason why crash diets don't work for active people.

Day 17

Today I made this mixed green juice that was recommended by a Filipino friend of mine. It is made out of 6 or 7 different green vegetables and fruits. The ones that I know of are; green apple, celery, and cucumber. Then there are 3 other vegetables that are Philippines native and I don't know what they are called!!!! This juice supposedly is pretty healthy and aside from giving you a boost of energy is filled with fiber and make you regular :o) and that's exactly what I need. I will keep you guys posted if it really works or not.
OK, my day started with a 10k run with friends which was great and then we were supposed to ride long. It started off pretty nice. There were 5 of us and we were truly enjoying the ride. About 10k into our ride i fell and got bloody knees (which was not that bad) so we all stopped to get me up. I cleaned my scars up and then we started riding again. About 21k into the ride my friend crashed when turning right in an intersection and she went down really bad. She ended up with a broken bike and bloody and scraped arm and hand!!!! Not a fun scene at all. At this point we decided to call it the day and skip the whole ride. Filipinos, like us Iranians, believe that when something bad happens, in happens in a set of 3! So they were all worried that who is gonna crash next.....

Day 16

Wow! Day 16 already and I have lost only 2 lbs!!!!!!
Today I really watched what I ate. So far I am at 1300 calories and I am planning to go to bed early so hopefully I won't be eating anything else.
Today I biked 35K and swam 1K so it was a semi easy day. Tomorrow is my big day since I will be running with my Tri buddies early in the morning and then we are doing a 60K bike ride also. I am going to do weights in the afternoon also. We'll see :o)

Day 15

Today I ate a little more than what I had planned, but overall it was mainly healthy food and I am happy about it.

Day 14

Today's weight: 136Lbs
Today was my bike day. Did a 55k ride this morning which felt absolutely great! I could have gone longer if I only had more water or gatorade with me. For breakfast after drinking 2 bottles of Gatorade, I had a banana (this was before my ride), and a slice of wheat toast with slice of cheese, and a soy latte (after my ride). For lunch I had few pieces of Sushi and some almonds. Then took a nice little nap. That's when my daughter asked if we could go swimming at the country club with her friends, which I thought would be a great idea so I could get my swim done there. I swam 1000 meter and then hungout at the pool with some friends till 4. So far so good right? Wrong! It started with kids asking for pizza for dinner. After 2 pieces of cheese pizza (thin crust), 2 beer (it is all my husband's fault!!!!!) and some chips, I feel so guilty that I can't even describe it. What the heck is wrong with me? I had a GREATday and ate so healthy, then in a matter of 20 minutes I ruined it all. I am mad at myself! 
Tomorrow will better be a better day.

Day 13

Day 13:
I got up early ran a 20k (my long run before the half marathon in 2 weeks) which took me 2 hours and 15 minutes. I ran about half of it with my friend Rico and the other half by myself.  It was hot, Manila hot!!!!! My feet were sore and I was exhusted. This is why I jumped into the pool without changing out of my running clothes :o) The cold water felt sooooooo good!
I made myself a nice egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast and after that and drank lots of water to rehydrate. After a quick nap I went to meet up with a friend in downtown Manila. From here on is all down hill!!!! We went out to a nice reatuarant for luch. Ordered some cheese Fondue, and a cold beer for starter. For lunch I had half a smoked salmon sandwich with few  pieces of french fries, but still after that cheese fundue...... And this is not the end of it. At night we went to a friends surprise birthday party which means more drinks (white wine) and fatty food. Yes, I totally blew it.
To make the story short, i have no clue how many calories I consumed and I have no desire to figure it out. Lets say it was about 2500-3000 and get it over with!!!!! Don't look for it on Fitday, I didn't log it.
