Week 2-Day 1

Secong week's starting weight 138 Lbs
I am back from a long weekend getaway. During the last 3 days I couldn't workout, but I tried not to over eat and I think I did ok, but the 2.5 pounds that I had lost before leaving town is back on my hips again :o)

Day Five 8/28/09

As you can see I totally messed up! Last night I had pasta and vegetable for dinner and a cookie for dessert at around 7:30. I was pretty happy about keeping the daily calories low and within my range. I should have just gone to bed right then, but instead I got myself busy on the computer. By 10:30 i started feeling hungry again and to my husband's suggestion we ended up having ice cream at that time of the night. Well a cup of ice cream has lots of calories and it's all empty calorie :o(((
 
Well, it's over now and I can't do anything about it.
 
Today I had a great day. My spin class in the morning and then i went to a friend's b-day lunch at TGIF. I had grill chicken with barbeque suace with a little Ceaser salad for lunch. At 3 I had my PT appointment. We worked biceps, back and core so I know I will be sore tomorrow!
Right after the PT i went jogging. Had a great run (6.5k) and kept a great pace.
Lucky me I had another b-day party to attend. This was a friend from spin class so all my spin buddies were there. I ate a sauteed mushroom appetizer and couple of dinner rolls. Only bad part was that I had 2 bottles of beer (lite), which was really refreshing :o)
I need to pack for my trip to the beach now. We are going to the beach and hopefully I won't be thinking about food there:o)
I will be gone till Monday evening and I'll do my bset to eat healthy. I doubt if there will be any kind of exercise or workout except hanging at the beach with the kids.

Day Four 8/27/09

I am here to report that I did pretty well last night at dinner. Sushi and shrimp teriyaki for dinner and no dessert.
I started my day with an 8k interval run. I felt really strong and if I didn't have to be at a meeting later in the morning i would have run longer.
 
Breakfast : my usual breakfast bar, a glass of whole milk
 
For lunch I had a cup of low fat cottage cheese with a banana and a whole wheat pandesal bread.
 
Snack: Hot Persian tea with couple of small dates, a cup of papaya and guava (we have the best fruits in the Philippines!)

Day Three 8/26/09

Day 3
 
Wednesdays are my team training days so the day starts early for me. We biked 35k this morning mostly with an easy pace. After that coach and I worked on my running form and speed. For speed work I had to run 1 minute fast (12k pace) and then 1 minute slow. The first few weren't that bad, but towards the end I had to push myself to keep the speed. She wants me to do this drill 2 to 3 times a week. This is what I get for missing 2 months of training with them.
Yesterday I ended up with more calories than what I wanted to. We had a friend over for dinner and I made a spicy shrimp pasta dish which turned out pretty good. I ended up with 1600 calories total at the end :o(
Today so far has been great except we have a team meeting tonight at the Japanese restaurant which means I really have to watch what I eat to keep the cals under bontrol.

Day Two8-25-09

9:30 AM
I am soooo sore from my yesterday's sculpt class!!!! Too many squats and lunges :o)
I was going to take Thursday as my recovery day, but I  might have to take today off since I am too sore to do anything.
OK, I think I did pretty good yesterday. I ate only 200 cals. above my BMR, which wasn't that bad at all considering that I had burned a good 800 calories from my workouts during the day.
Today being my recovery day, is going to be hard to watch the cals. intake since I tend to eat more when I am home.

Starting a new challenge

Me and few friends are starting a month long challenge. Starting today we'll be eating at our BMR level and exercising at least 4 days a week. If I stick to this plan, within a month  I will loose about 5 to 8 lbs which is exactly my goal. The hardest thing for me will be keeping the calorie intake low during my training days when I am working 2-3 hours a day. I think I have to adjust my intake during those days. We'll see.
OK, my starting weight is 137-138 depending on the time of the day. My BMR is about 1350 calories a day.
 
Day One
 
I started the day with 40 minutes of slow swim at the pool with couple of teammates. On Mondays I teach a Spin class followed by a Sculpt class. At spin I did mainly power drills with keeping the cadance and RPM steady. Sculpt was mostly leg works; squats, lunges with concentration on Shoulders, Biceps and Triceps.

8/19/09

Another fun day of training with the team. Bike and then run for 2 hours!
Mean while I have been doing semi ok with my diet. One day i do great and keep the calorie intake under control and then the next day I mess it up with eating too much.....
I guess eventually I will get back to my normal eating habit, Let's hope!
Still the same weight.

8/15/09 Day 7

Woke up at 7 and by 7:40 I was on my bike at Dang Hari road. I met up with Jay, Yvonne and Glenn there. I rode only for 20k (40 minutes) this morning since I had my first PT appointment with Ian at 9 today. I had been contemplating regarding getting a personal trainer, but I finally did it. I signed up for 10 sessions with him and I will be seeing him twice a week. The only reason I did that is just because after 2 months of off season, i need motivation and I know one sculpt class a week would not cut it. I am actually excited about it. Ian is strong and working with him today, I know he will challenge me more than I challenge myself with those machines.
I did really well with food yesterday. All day I ate healthy and kept my calorie intake to about 800 knowing that I will be going out for dinner. Of course 2 glasses of wine with sushi and shrimp tempura for dinner changed my total of calories to about 2000, but what the heck! you can't go out with friends and not eat, or could you????
BTW, I am stil 137 lbs :o((((
