Day 4
What a way to start my day!!!! Paolo, my teammate, got me at 6. We rode our bikes to Country Club to meet with coach Ani and the rest of the training group. We started with an 8k warm up ride and then 4 loops of 5k around CC with climbing in the highest gear and in the aero-bar position. Killer!!!! After that we did a 4k run of regular run to finish today's training. Of course after 2 months I wasn't in the greatest shape, but I did fairly ok. At least I didn't give up :o) Today I realized how much I love doing this. I miss training hard and feeling like this. It felt really good to be with my friends and pushing myself.
Paolo and I rode home after that. By the time I got home I had burned about 1200 calories. Not bad for the first of training :o)
I weight myslef and I am still 136-137 lbs. I don't expect the scale chenge the number on me for another week or so. That's what happens when you age. Losing weight becomes a pain in the you know what......
