Ups and Downs

So, the up is this: I feel a lot better than I did last night. The extra sleep has done wonders today :)

The down is this: I am down almost 3 lbs!

I'm trying to stay on track with my progress and not get discouraged or distracted. Summer is here and today is a new day!

I hope everyone has a wonderful and restful day.

Question--- What exercises have been most effective for you and why? Any insight is greatly appreciated!

I don't think any woman should be without squats and lunges!! That's the honest truth. I love having a curvy bottom and although I do want it to shrink in size, I still want it to be curvy. No shame in that. (My husband says he doesn't mind the weight loss thing - as long as I keep my bottom)

And then I do lots of walking. I have found this along with my weight training to be the best for me.

Hope this helps! After you figure out what works for you - don't forget to shake it up a bit every couple of weeks so the body doesn't get dormant...

Talk with you soon!

Good Job

Congratulations on the 3 lb drop.  You seem to have the right attitude about everything.  The key is keeping it that way.  Support can help you do that.

As for exercising... I have been using a stepper machine for a bit now.  I can't really tell you how well it is or isn't working.  I started it 2 1/2 weeks ago when I started my new perscription.  I lost a good amount of weight in the first 7 days, but I don't know if that was the rx or the stepper.  I haven't lost anything in about the last 10 days.  I also have 5 lb weights that I hold onto when I am stepping so that I can work on my arms a bit.  Last, but not least I started with those standing crunches you told me about.  I think they are awesome.  You are right, they are easier.  I hope they are helping.  I can feel it when I do it.  Hip Hop Abs says you can lose 3 inches on your waist in the first 6 days.  I am not expecting that unless I actually do that workout, but I would be happy with any results.

Good Luck!
