Happy New Year my friends..........Ü
Up 1.2 on the scale this morning! DRATS! Well, it's to be expected because my eating returned to somewhat normal yesterday. I went from eating a few bites to 3 healthy meals and a couple of snacks so I have to expect a little fluctuation, right? My boss brought in oatmeal cookies this morning....how dare she? LOL. Her son is a chef and is at home for the holidays and has been baking up a storm. Out of the kindness of his lil' heart he baked cookies for the office.... <clenching teeth> w-a-s-n-'t t-h-a-t s-o n-i-c-e o-f h-i-m????????????
I did have 1 and a half cookies because they would haunt me the entire day if I wouldn't. I have my taste out of the way, it was good ..........now move on! ![]()
Happy Friday everyone!
Hugs!
WOW - what a difference not eating for 2 days makes in your weight. LOL! I have been sick for 2 days and hardly had an appetite. I am feeling much better and very thankful because I had to work today. This morning....my morning weight was 239.8 and that is a number I have NOT seen in months. A few days ago I was at 245 or even 246.....I know that it is a "fluke" and water weight....but this has given me a new inspiration to get refocused and keep this weight down below 240. That is where I lose it. I know it sounds weird but I can't seem to overcome getting below 240 for anything. It is a weight my body was comfortable at for years and since it is my comfort zone, it's like my body shuts down and my brain goes into rewind. <big sigh> Any words of encouragement is greatly appreciated. Hugs!
and I feel like "crude". I was on the fast track earlier this week; hosted a dinner party for my in-laws on Friday night, then went over to my MIL and FIL for Christmas with the in-laws on Saturday including DH's brother, sisters and their families....basically the entire family, worked at my parents restaraunt on Sunday, hosted Christmas Eve at my house on Monday for my family (almost 20 people) and then had my lil' family Christmas on Christmas morning just DH and my two boys ....AND....then it happened......I came down with a nasty virus on Christmas Day and it was nothing nice. I do feel a little better this "day after Christmas" afternoon. Yesterday thank goodness DH was off work to take care of the kids for me because I slept most of the day and then had an awful night. My body ached, my head throbbed, not to mention the vomiting and not being able to eat anything all day. It's been a good thing for my weight as I am down a little lower than I expected to be with all of the "snacking" this holiday season but I just want to feel better. Even though I was sick as a dog we had a terrific Christmas. My oldest son got most of everything on his list including the 2008 WWE PS2 game he has been wanting and tons of stuff from Nana and PoPo. For the few items that he didn't get he did receive some gift cards and can go shopping on his own. His birthday is on Sunday so I have to turn right around and make his birthday special too. He has informed me he would like to go to Chucky-Cheese's to celebrate. What fun! and I will probably let him go to Toys-R-Us to spend some of his $$ or gift cards.
Hope all is well with you and wishing you a great week.
p.s. - the commercials are already starting. Those commercials that remind us and inspire us to get it together and lose weight. LOL
Hugs!
Here is a picture of my two sons ~ this is the picture that I will use for our family Christmas Card this year..............the tree in the background is my oldest son's tree. I had to purchase him a 6' tree this year because of all of his "ornaments". Some are from school, others he has made with Nana during Summer break, and also we do an ornament exchange each Christmas so even at 11 years old he has quite a collection. It is so neat.
My oldest son is 11 yrs. and the baby is 16 months............but looks older, doesn't he?
Thanks for looking and Merry Christmas!

To not stress anymore! I am sick of stressing! LOL
My baby had to go to his ENT doctor yesterday so after his appt. I tried to finish up my Christmas shopping. Well, trying to shop with a 16 month old was not a wise choice. He is not the best little shopper anymore. He was grabbing everything, couldn't sit still for 10 seconds and was hungry all day. WHEW! A lady came by and said "Woooo, you have your hands full" and I wanted to respond "YA THINK???" LOL..........Anyhoo's shopping is about finished.
We have a Christmas party tonight - I know there will be lots of good food and some drinks so I have made up my mind, I will NOT stress, I WILL watch it and use the 3 bite rule. What is the 3 bite rule, some of you may ask? The first couple of bites taste exactly like the last bite - so I will try it.
Shame on me - I do not have all of my decorations up in the house (or outside yet). I am hoping to finish that up this week-end. I wouldn't bother but I am hosting Christmas for my family this year and need to pull it together.
Wishing you all a terrific Friday!
Hugs
Happy "hump" day everyone...........
It is a nasty day here in my world but I am not letting the weather outside affect my mood. I woke up at 6 am this morning with a new enthusiasm. I purchased the deluxe kit at WW yesterday and it has a DVD with meal ideas, tips and a work out on it too. I can't wait to pop it in my DVD player and watch it. It would be perfect for a day like today - too bad I have to work. I am not finished with my Christmas Shopping yet - I am about 1/2 way. I have a drs. appt. on Monday which is in another town (about 45 minutes away) and they have a lot more variety of stores to chose from - so I am hoping to finish up.
Wishing you a terrific day!
I am very easily distracted. I can get so far off track that it takes me weeks/months to get it together. I need to make more of an effort to get here and post to my blog.
WW introduced a new program called "Kickstart" - just like the bikers used to have to kickstart their bikes, WW is kickstarting our weight loss. I have become very complacent. WW is always on my mind, might do well for a few days and then all it takes is one meal of over eating and I am done! I need to overcome this. With the new Kickstart program WW has given us a new book with new ideas, recipes and tips. I am going to give it a try. Hey, I've tried everything else. Ü
BLACK FRIDAY! LOL Yes, I will be getting up early tomorrow morning, dressing in the dark, being very careful not to wake up DH and kiddo's, grabbing my purse and driving in the dark about 45 minutes to the join the thousands of others trying to get the "best deal". LOL! I have my list and will be checking it twice....(probably more than that). I plan to leave early and get home early. DH has to work tomorrow and my sweet MIL agreed to keep my kiddo's so that I can tramble through the crowd, scanning the stores, aisles and price tags all the while looking at my watch for the cut off time. This is my "high". I just love it. One draw back though is that I am going to shop in a town that has a HUGE football game tomorrow - if any of you are familiar with the Texas A & M Aggies and the University of Texas Longhorns then this is the game! It's on baby! Of course the game has to be in Aggieland and that is where I go to shop. Oh well, I will put on my good walking shoes and ask the Good Lord for some extra patience and holiday spirit and get through it BEEEEECAUSE I might miss something if I don't go. heheheheeee
Thanksgiving Day was great! I cooked turkey, dressing, and all of the other fixens with the intention of eating leftovers for supper. I put up all of the fall/thanksgiving decor and DH has the tree put up. Last year I bought one of those revolving tree bases and if you have an extra eight bucks I highly recommend you investing in one. I LOOOOVE IT! My tree revolves around and I get to enjoy all of my ornaments, not just the ones on the front of the tree. It's cool.
I have a lot going on this week-end and within the next week ~ my big Christmas Craft Show is coming up next week-end so I spend many late nights painting, shading, creating and putting those final touches on my masterpieces. I do my best work 2 weeks before a show and I am living on adreneline (sp.) right now. I am exhausted and excited all at the same time. It's all worth it when my usual customers (and some new ones too) can't wait to see what I have created this year and buy it just because they looooooooove it. I will be shopping in Wal-Mart and will be asked by a stranger "when is your craft show?" ~ I will post a few pictures of my stuff after the show.
Sorry to be so long with my blog tonight but I haven't been here in a few days so I wanted you to know what was going on with me ~ on Tuesday I lost 4.2 lbs. at my weigh-in. I know that it is water weight ~ but I AM EXCITED. I will admit that I have a few tooo many extra's today but I plan to get right back on track tomorrow and drink, drink, drink my water.
Wishing you all a terrific evening ~ and if you are going to brave the crowds on Black Friday ~ stay safe and wishing you a terrific shopping day.
Hugs!
dusted it off! My WW point tracking book that is. The last time I journaled for a full complete day was July 30th - sooooo sad! July 30th morning weight was 244.0 - this morning's weight (11/16) was 246.8 ~ eeeee 2.8 lbs. is not THAT bad to gain in 3 1/2 months but I should have lost more than that! Gwynn posted about the Little Debbie's 100 calorie brownie bites.....they are yumm-o and have a real chocolate taste. Beware they are small and no we can not eat the whole box...LOL
My weight was up a little this morning because we went to a "family feast" at my son's day school last night. It's was pot luck dinner, a tradition for the school and it is scrumptous - so yes, I over ate. The staff provides the turkey, dressing and rolls - families are encouraged to bring a side dish and a dessert so of course nothing is low-fat! It was good, we ate and ate a little more and then went home to bed. So sad! LOL
BUT ~ I did go to Curves 2 times this week and am very proud of myself. I haven't been to a Curves workout since the end of August.....shame on me...BUT I am getting back on track.
Wishing you a wonderful Friday and great week-end.
