Temptation. It's been around since the dawn of time. Techincally by now we should understand it's evil tricks and ways of luring us in. I mean look at poor Adam and Eve....
one BLOODY apple and they were goners!! Due to this, I am very very worried. I believe yesterday I devoured the modern day equivalent of that 'bloody apple'. A FAT wedge of Vanilla Slice from the nicest bakery this side of town. Yup, tomorrow I'll be going to get fitted for a pair of little red horns and a forked tail. Cause i'm doomed.
But MAN it was Delish!!! Thick icing smothered on top. Beautifully layered crispy bits with thick dollops of custard in between. Whoa Mama! Actually yes, Mum bought it for me...
As a result - the scale has said that i've put on a crap load of weight. <-- Duh Girlfriend!
My problem is that my CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) has decided to make it's annual appearance, so recently all i've had the energy to do is sleep and eat. Oh and change the tv channel.....
I've been out of action for about 3 days now. Steadily getting better but this bugger of a thing always hangs about for a week or 3. I've made a pledge to be a good girl for the rest of the week. In the past i've been known to put on up to 5 kilos (bout 10 pounds -i think) whilst being sick. So i'm gunna try and break the habbit this time around. Lord help me!
Ou. I think my eyelids are winning the battle. Time for shleepy poos.
Yeah I also tend to revert to baby talk when i'm sick too.
Hands up if you're one sad individual! lol
Take care Peeps!

Didn't know you had CFS!
Hey, girlfriend! I didn't know you had chronic fatigue syndrom! I have fibromyalgia, so I kind of know how you feel. With all my recent stress -- hospital runs and stays -- I've not managed much exercise. Well, I guess you could call all that running up and down hospital aisles exercise... I know my ankles sure felt it! But I've not felt like using the exercise bike. However! I did borrow my neighbor's ab lounge. My worst problem with losing weight in my waist and hips is the flabby lose stuff I have hanging around my tummy and hips. I think that will help take it off. And I have been using it. My hubby says it helps his back feel better, too.
Now, back to you! How come you been off the diet? I don't know what that stuff was you ate, don't recognize it. I was thinking maybe what we call cheese cake? Or is it a custard pie? Whatever it is, it sounds delicious! But stay away from that stuff woman! Oh, but you know.... when my grandson got his tube out and they said he could have liquids, my hubby decided we'd go out and celebrate. We went to Outback Steakhouse! We had a huge bloomin onion.... but I only ate about 3 ounces of my steak, and had fresh veggies with it, so the only thing bad from that time was the bloomin onion. The rest of my dinner (and part of the bloomin onion) I brought back to my son. So we got 3 meals for the price of 2, haha. I've been doing straight diet since then though, and I've managed to lose a couple of more inches. The weight I hope will come off by the weekend. Hope!
You take care girlfriend, hope you feel better soon.
hey there lazy ass! :) I see you came around again...with your witty mood and style. I hope your sickness goes away without leaving that unwanted laguage - yeah..break the habit! :) Take care and get well!
Okay, a little "me" time here... I lost another 2 lbs.! Just being back on the right path helped me I guess... cause I weighed in this morning 2 lbs. smaller! Woohoo! I'm so excited!
Hope you're feeling better. I've been in a really bad funk myself, and that always affects my Lupus and Fibro. Just weighing in this morning though seems to have lifted my spirits some, so maybe the pain won't be as severe today. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, too! It sucks to hurt!
