I've lost 6 pounds in 13 days! Yeeeaaaaaah babyyyyyy!
I actually realized that my starting weight was not 160 pounds, but 169 pounds. Made the wrong computation, ooops! So yeah, I suppose the breakup did not agree with me at all. But it's been over for more than a month now, so it's definitely time to move on and change.
I've been trying to be more active lately. I'm not the biggest fan of exercise, but whenever I get the opportunity to do some brisk walking, I take it. Instead of rolling the wheels on my chair until I can reach something that I need, I stand up and get it. So yeah, the 6 pounds that I lost has motivated me into actually getting some exercise. I can only imagine how much more weight I could've lost had I been exercising regularly for the past 13 days!
As for my diet, I still eat sweets, ice cream, chocolates... but not as much as I used to before. I try and keep it down to a minimum. I've been making small changes too, like buying multigrain bread instead of white, and adding more veggies into my sandwiches and putting just a small amount of mayo.
Speaking of mayo, does anyone know a good substitute? I've been making tuna salad sandwich lately, and I just can't think of a healthy substitute to mayonnaise.
So yeah, I'm really happy about the weight that I lost, and hopefully I won't think of it as an excuse to eat more. Normally I'd be like, "Oh, I lost 5 pounds, it's alright if I eat one more cookie..." I really want to change that.
Thanks so much for your comments guys. They really, really help. *big hug to everyone*

well done
Congrats :) :)
Sustitute to mayo: mustard or mustard mixed with a little natural yogurt.

That's the way it should be. If you cut the junk overnight and eat (joy) salad, you'll just binge like crazy at the end. Eating brown bread etc is brilliant too. It's kind of how I do it - I still have the odd bit of chocolate and dressing on my salad. THe thing that I find the hardest tho but is crucial is not eating between meals.
Cutting down on junk food really makes a difference, I think I haven't had white bread in ages and I don't even miss it ;) And yes, allow yourself a bit of sweetness from time to time because if you totally restrict yourself, in the end it gets really ugly. Well, at least that's what happens with me. Great job so far :)
That's amazing! Congrats! Breakups are always sucky. I go either extreme... sometimes I'm so upset that I don't have an appetite, sometimes all I want are chicken wings! LOL. Lately its been on the chicken wing end...
BTW, re: your comment about popcorn. You can always get some I Can't Believe Its Not Butter spray... or even regular butter spray. It adds the butter flavor but has very few calories. Are you on WW? I can't remember, I almost was talking in terms of points!
6 pounds in such a short period of time is great, congrats! And I definitely agree with what was said above: it's ok to let yourself eat something good every now and then. I know I'd go crazy if I didn't allow myself to do that and it could possibly ruin the whole weightloss. So in the end of the day I'm better off if I'll just have those cheat days.
LF/FF sour cream is my fave for most things, but LF/FF plain yogurt works too. Just don't expect it to taste exactly the same...
There are also some okay tasting reduced cal. mayos out there. I just kinda gave it up entirely a few years ago so I don't have a particular brand to recommend.
