just another weigh in
So, I'm down 1.2 pounds this week to 184, making my total weightloss 11 lbs. Which, don't get me wrong, I'm really happy about, but also totally scared shitless about. Here's why:
I've lost this first 15 lbs. so many times before, it just doesn't even feel like a real accomplishment to me anymore. I don't think I'll really feel good until I get into the 170's, a place I haven't been in a long time.
I'm leaving tomorrow for a 10-day business trip. I have to do this once every couple of months, and I'm notorious for gaining back lost weight during these trips. I think I can at least maintain, like I did while my parents were here, but I'm just freaked. I don't think I can handle having to loose any of this weight again.
This has to be the last time. Tell me it won't come back! Anyone have any travel tips/stories? I'd really like to hear them.

Nice job!!
Great job on the weight lose!! I know what you mean about gaining and losing the same 10-15 pounds over and over again. I did hear something about people who have been successfull in keeping weight off verses the ones who put it make on. The ones that are most successful are the ones that can take "bad" meal and or choice and leave it at that. Just one bad moment and get right back on instead of letting one meal turn into one day, one week, one month and so one. It really helped me think that just because I made a poor choice doesn't mean it is all over with.

Just another weigh in?!
You have made great progress, so don't discount that! I have plenty of travel tips. I assume you'll be flying, so my first tip is to bring your own food to the airport. You can bring food, but not liquids. If that is not an option, your best bet is the fruit cup and lowfat milk from one of the delis at the airport. Now, if you'll be at some sort of conference, where all there is is continental bfasts, try to stick with the fruit, yogurt if they have it, and if you need to eat a bagel, only take half! And skip the cream cheese and opt for cottage cheese instead if they have it. I think you'll be fine. Just remember to try to stick with whole foods. If you need to choose between a salad, sandwich or soup, go with the salad with the dressing on the side. If only a sandwich, try not to eat one side of the bread (make it open-face). I have so many more tips, but you know what to do. Sticking with whole foods is always your best bet, and limiting portion sizes. Sipping on tea or diet soda might help too during meetings. Good luck!!

One Day at a Time
You are doing great!!!
Be proud of yourself. Don't think of the big picture - just think of today and you will do great

But...
... were you blogging last time you gained it back? If you can, post some updates here while you're away. It will keep you accountable, plus you'll get support if you start to slip. Try using the hotel gym if there's one available. Good luck to you - you're doing GREAT!

It won't
It won't come back. Do you want to know why? YOU have the power to keep it off. YOU! How great is that to know that you are in control? I think it's pretty damn amazing. So, no, it will NOT come back. Enjoy your trip! Keep up the great work!

no more yo-yo
First of all, congralutions on the weight loss! You do realize how awesome that is, right? Forget about the whole been-there-done-that thing. Celebrate your accomplishment and feel good about it - the reality is that if you don't feel good about it, you won't feel successful and you'll be setting yourself up for failure on the business trip and beyond. You've worked too hard to fall back on the yo-yo mentality. We here at EP are not going to let you do that!

Travel
I travel a lot and it's really hard not to gain. If your hotel will have a micro/fridge, then I would suggest buying some healthy food for your room versus eating out.
Congrats on your loss, you're doing great!!

Identify
I guess you have to identify why you're putting on weight during hte trips - is it because you're drinking more alcohol? eating more indulgent food? eating more often? not exercising?
Then you can create a strategy to combat that
Goodluck!
