Went AWOL for a while there. I was in Pittsburgh all last week visiting my boyfriend. I had the most wonderful time, I really didn't want to come home. And thankfully despite all my worries I not only maintained weight, I actually lost weight while I was there despite eating Chinese food and fast food almost everyday of the vacation. I'm down to 190.8 pounds. For a total loss of 12 pounds in 5 weeks. I'm happy with that, I think its a good start. Now it will just be a matter of keeping it up over the next few months. I got the P90X set in while I was gone and started yesterday. Core Synergistics kicked my butt, my goal was to do Yoga today but I'm really feeling the need for the day off for some reason so I think I will just start tomorrow.
I'm being forced to cut back on the JC program for a while till I pay off some bills, and my parents are being kind enough to help me out by buying Lean Cuisines with the groceries each week. They are a pretty decent substitute, some are even less calories than JC meals.
Steps: 10,000 Workout: 1 hour on Treadmill, 10 minutes on rower, 30 minutes of pilates Food: Went over 200 calories
I'll try harder to stick to calories tomorrow. The tempting food is now gone haha. I ran a 12 minute mile today! I know that may not sound like much but its a huge goal met for me. I haven't managed to do that since high school. I tried to do it again a few months ago while I was taking a PE class at a local junior college and I was unable to make it past 9 minutes of running at 5mph. So today was a great day. =)
I can't believe its been 21 days already. But tomorrow will be the start of week 4. Weigh in was kind to me this week. I was honestly expecting to have gained a pound or so or on the bright side maintain. However I lost 1.8 pounds. YAY! That makes a total loss of 9.8 pounds in 3 weeks.
Now I'm off to the mall for a couple hours of walking and then hitting the gym tonight for at least an hour of working out! Gotta lose as much as possible this week before my big trip! Seeing my boyfriend for the first time in 3 months, I need to look my best =)
This weeks goal:
64 oz of water a day 10,000 steps a day 1 hour of cardio a day 30 min of yoga/power sculpt/pilates a day Stick to JC strictly no eating out except for one evening of frozen yogurt Basically just get up off my lazy butt and be active!
Today's Results:
1.5 hours on Treadmill at 3mph (15 min at 5mph) = approximately 10,000 steps 15 min on Elliptical 20 min on StairMaster 25 min Strength Training 1 hour Biggest Loser Weight Loss Yoga
Stuck to JC exactly today. Still finishing the water, about 16 oz to go. And I think I got up off my lazy butt pretty well today. 3.5 hours worth at least so its a start =)
Well so much for stepping it up! This has been the most off week for me. But I refuse to let it get me down. I'm allowed to have an off week, this is going to be a long journey of weight loss and I'm not going to give up like I have every time before.
I did really well on food today, I followed a few recipes I found on the food network site last night. I made this nice breakfast omelet with one egg, one egg white, onions, and broccoli and it was surprisingly tasty for having vegetables with breakfast (not something I am used to). And I really liked the fruit smoothie I found on the site even though I had to improvise. One orange worth of fresh squeezed juice (about 1/2 cup of juice), one banana, and it was supposed to take fresh strawberries (which I unfortunately just ran out of) but instead I used http://www.promisehealthyheart.com/products_supershots_strawberry.aspx which is actually a good thing because they are supposed to help lower your cholesterol which I really need to work on. Just stick all that in a blender and it comes out smooth and tasty.
I had my JC lunch, dinner, and snack (their chocolate cake was not as tasty as I would have hoped so I'm sticking with their lemon cake from now on because its freaking amazing). I treated myself to a nonfat chocolate frozen yogurt in place of one of my milk servings today (my JC consultant said its ok to do this on occasion as it is nonfat) and that totally curbed my cravings for the evening.
I was a failure at working out today because I was so sore from my 20 minutes of cardio yesterday that I could barely move. I tried ab ripper x yesterday for the first time, I could hardly get through half the reps required and I'm still paying the price. I think I will try to go back to my good old trust Biggest Loser workouts again tomorrow.
At the rate I'm going this week I will be lucky to maintain weight haha. Well time to step it up and kick it into high gear before my Tuesday weigh in.
Today I will be having my first meal out. I'm a bit nervous, I don't think I'm very capable of making smart choices yet as is evident of my emotional binge last night. And for some reason I'm feeling extremely lazy again today with no desire to work out. Not a good sign. Oh well, time to suck it up and get back to work.
Steps Taken: 11,000 Work Out: Day Off Calorie Intake: 1750
So I started Jenny Craig 15 days ago. I lost 5 pounds my first week and 3 pounds my second week. My short term goal is to lose 12 pounds by March 24 for my trip to Pittsburgh.
Well today was... a bad day. My emotional eating took over after small bits of bad news rolled in all day. Luckily I only went 100 calories over my allowance, which just means I need to work out extra tomorrow.
Steps Taken: 11,000 Work Out: Day Off Calorie Intake: 1850 (took my 250 splurge for the week)
