No progress this week!?!

This week was kind of a bust (I weigh in on Fridays.) I tracked all of my points (still had 14 extra to spare) and gained 0.4 lbs. It seriously bummed me out! I feel like I am just wandering around out there without any direction. Nothing seems to work for me. It is time to sign up for another session of WW (I do the "At Work" program) and I find myself seriously considering if it is even a good fit for me. $170 is a lot to spend on something that isn't really working....just sayin'.

After I weighed in, I was seriously angry and felt sort of washed up. BUT, nothing that a good run and a tall glass of water can't fix! I really hate running, but I feel like a million bucks afterward. Always gets me right out of a rut!

Anyway, I have to make a decision regarding my WW membership this coming week. I am a thyroid patient, post-thyroidectomy. Is there anyone out there with this same situation who has had something work really successfully for them? I lost a lot of weight using the Michael Thurmond 6 Week Body Makeover system, but I am in a job now where I cannot be stopping every 2.5 hours to have a meal. Anything else out there that has been successful for someone who doesn't have a thyroid? Is there any hope for me and my big bottom?

Laying the foundation....

Just to create a foundation for all future posts, I thought I might start with a little groundwork.

My second child is 9 months. I only have about 7 lbs of baby weight to go, but that still leaves me at a whopping 192 lbs! I am not used to having a body like this......I was a regionally and nationally qualified athlete in both high school and college.

One thyroidectomy (due to thyroid cancer) and two children later and I hardly recognize myself! Each year my weight has crept up a little more.....

I am currently participating in WW (which is not working even though I stay below my points and eat lean proteins and veggies....) and I am looking for an outlet for my frustration.

I am turning 29 on June 23rd, 2011 and I DESPERATELY want to hit my goal weight before turning 30. I hope that by interacting with like-minded people, I can stay on track (everyone around me overeats or eats poorly with seemingly no consequence).

So here goes........
