Friday - 17th day

Today has gone well so far, but last night I ended up eating a pop tart and a bowl of mac n cheese - UGH!!!! When my kids are home and they want to eat and eat and eat it gets really hard for me to stay on track.  If it would have been nice out (it was raining) I would have made all of us go outside and play til the hunger went away.  Oh well, that was yesterday and today is better, I can only look at the moment and get through it.  I did my walking today and that is a good thing, I am hoping to get to walk some more once the kdis are home too.   I just need to get into the groove of excercise, any suggestions, I used to do it all of the time and I know it will make me feel great, but....I just do not have the umph to get up and go....help...

Umph

The umph sometimes takes a while to come but it seems that a diet that leaves you being hungry may not be the best thing. With South Beach If I am hungry, I eat. Sometimes I don't feel like I am even on a diet. When I used to diet using calorie cutting plans, I was always hungry too and that made me cheat. I am not saying that JC is wrong maybe there is something you can eat that will be a JC approved snack to get you through those rough spots.

Mac N Cheese

Hi!  It is hard when you are dieting and you have kids because the kids still need to be fed.  I made Kraft Mac n Cheese for my son the other night.  I made a lowfat version with skim milk and nonfat marg.  He hated it.  He ate some of his bowl, but I decided to try it to see if it was truly bad.  I ate a spoonful and then another then another!

The hardest part for me about dieting is feeding my family (I am on JC).  I would like to make light meals that we could all enjoy, but I am not ready to do that yet (I still need a portion controlled diet).
