Off to a good start
Down .5 lb since last week -- including New Year's celebrations with champagne and snacks! I am feeling very focused and settled, in for the long haul. In 4 weeks we'll be leaving for Costa Rica, and I will be very happy if I can whittle away another 4 lbs, staying on track at one pound a week....
There are no social or eating out occasions on my calendar for the coming week and I've planned my brown bag lunches for work and menus for family dinners, so I'm feeling in control and expecting to make good progress over the next seven days -- one day at a time.

Getting Organized
Congrats on the weight loss, and good job planning lunches and dinners! I know that makes the biggest difference for me. Anytime I don't have things already set in advance, it becomes WAY too easy to go out to eat or let things unravel, and the weeks of social commitments are certainly a challenge, too. If I know in advance that they're coming up (and especially where we're going to be eating), I can usually plan something healthy to do. It's when things are less organized that things fall apart.
Good luck with your weight loss journey this year! I'm sure you can do it! And have fun in Costa Rica!

Way to go on planning your lunches and dinners --- wish I could do that. It never seems to work out right for me.
