Munchies no more!

 Thats my new goal. To not eat and stand. If I want to eat, I better be sitting down. Why this crazy rule!? Well usually like clockwork around four or five I get the munchies! Bad, bad munchies. The kind where you see yourself at the pantry trying to see what food pops out at you. I did this last night and frankly I cant do this. Thankfully I sat down and looked over my food choices. Im making this my new goal. If I want to eat, I must sit down. That means if I get a sample somewhere or im standing in front of the pantry again, I either need to sit down. Usually by that time I realize what im doing and I step forward and say "no thanks".

Im feeling pretty good right now. I looked at my calendar this morning and exactly today It has been two weeks since starting my new fitness and eating regime. Im feeling better and better as each day goes by. Only thing I wish I had was a gym membership. I want to get one and was going to but money has me saving every penny I have.

I forgot to write down my goals so here it is a little late

  • Try not to eat out but once this week, lets see if I can do it!
  • exercise Monday-Friday
  • Count my calories

I once read...

You should never eat anywhere but at the dining room table.  That means no desk, no couch, no standing.  I eat at my desk, I must admit, but try to avoid eating in front of the tv (nor while standing for that matter).  Good luck!

Great goals!

Yep, all the experts say not to eat standing up.  You really need to be conscious of what you're eating and enjoy it.  That's still one that I struggle with.  Thanks for reminding me!

I'm always telling DH & my kids to sit down while they eat. I'm not sure why, but its just not good. I guess because if we sit down, we are more likely to pay attention to what goes in our mouth. We eat dinner together every night--at the dining room table! Sometimes, when its DH's night to cook, he'll se up the TV trays, and I HATE it!

Thanks! Yea, I'm pretty happy about my loss. Yes, lets have another great week!! I'm hoping for maybe 2 pounds next week?? Ya know, since I'm on a roll! :)

Munchies

I used to get that horrible munchie feeling between 4-6 until i realized I can go without eating!  Imagine that.  I don't have to eat just cause i'm bored or even because my tummy is growling.  if I wait just a little longer, heh, I won't die.  Insane idea. Who would have thought!  I know what you mean standing in the pantry.  I still do that but usually walk away.

My problem is eating while working on the computer.  It doesn't give me the opportunity to fully enjoy my food, then its gone in no time and I didn't even taste it. 

You should check out the UA rec center, you have free access to it!  The only thing that sucks is that if you go during the middle of the day the line is long for the weight room.  and the girls there annoy me.  seems like they go to gossip, talk on the phone and aren't really serious about working out.  Okay, maybe you shouldn't use the facility! But anytime you want you can come with me to use the base gym.  The only problem is that I usually go late at night and I know you get to bed early.  If I go on the weekend or during the day I'll let you know!
