Five More Minutes

This morning, my alarm goes off and the first thing that comes to my head is "I just went to bed ten minutes ago!" It must be a fluke, haha well no, indeed I needed to get up and get movin! I just wanted to sleep for five more minutes, I was just soooo comfy!

This morning as I was doing my daily routine of (stepping on the scale, eating breakfast and checking emails) It dawned on me that Im no longer scale obsessed! A smile appeared on my face and I recalled to a time where I was weighing myself about 7 times a day. Now I only way myself once and that is in the morning. I thought something like this was going to never let me rest, I hated being obsessed by a number on a scale. It takes over your life and then all you start to care about is a number on a scale. Well let me tell you to everyone who is having a problem like this, you can in fact snap out of it! As I was checking my email, I got an newsletter, funny about "the number on the scale" If you have time to read it, its very intresting and useful!

Nothing planned for today, I hopefully will be coming home and resting! My soreness is slowly going away! Even though I did get used to it! lol!!

Well im off! Have a wonderful Thursday!!! GUESS WHAT?!?! It's almost FRIDAY!!!!

Excellent article

So true!  Hopefully EP will give us more tracking options soon, such as % Body Fat & BMI.  A better Body Log graphic would be especially helpful to visualize the changes in measurements.

I snoozed this morning, too.  Some days it's harder to get out of bed than others.

Have a great Thursday!

Great place to be....

It's great to not be so obsessed.  I'm working on that.  I weigh at home once a week, usually and it's the day of my official WI so I don't have any surprises.

I hope you get to rest today!

Wow

It doesn't look like you need to obsess over the scale. Your weight loss is awesome. Gives me motivation...I am just starting on this site. Congrats! Colleen

scales

I only get on the scale 1 or 2 times a week.  If I know it's not moving, I know it's time to get moving myself!

I got on the scale myself today.  I am thinking I have to get moving more!  ON that note, I need to go mow the lawn!  (No self-propelled mower here!)

: )

PS I don't really have anything planned for today, either.  In fact, I'm skipping school today because I have perfect attendance and there are only two more classes left of the semester.  (And all but one class was cancelled for the day).

It is almost Friday, isn't it!!!!

Yeay!!!  :)  That is a good thing!  lol.

Anyway, sounds like you have made progress.  When my scale says 140something, I will not obsess anymore!!  Promise. :D

Have a good one!

xoxo

I'll try.....

Yup! I have that problem right now. I keep looking at the scale about 3 times a day. Once in the morning, afternoon and at night...ok maybe before I work out...Seriously I think I might have to put my machine away. Loved the article and it makes sense. Will give it a go and see what happens : D

five more minutes is my middle name

Ha... well when you have to get up as early as 4 I think five more minutes count...

RD HUH? that's awesome.. I hated my nutrition class... it drove me bonkers... Could be why I got to be over 100 over weight LOL...

Thanks for all your support...
