Smoothies

It's Monday!!! YAY! I know we usually dread Monday's and some of get a case of the Monday's and we start singing "Monday, Monday..." but im glad it's Monday! YAHOO!!! Its a start to a fresh new week and I can forget about everything from last week!

This morning I woke up, hopped on the scale like I always do, paused and smiled, hopefully the number im looking at will stick for Wednesday's weigh in! I have to stop saying, hopefully, I have to start saying It will stick until Wednesday! We all have to stop saying all those negative comments, and start saying "We can do it!!" After my daily ritual I went and made breakfast, I opened the fridge and I wasn't in a ....egg, toast, waffle, cereal kind of mood. I was more in a SMOOTHIE mood!!! So out came all my fruit whipped me a nice smoothie. I have been looking for some good recipies, so if you have any send them my way! Im excited to try new ones!

I have noticed alot more people using this sticker system, I like it! I don't have any stickers, but Im going to improvise and make sure I still meet all my daily goals!

My goals for this week!

  • Stop snacking on chocolate kisses
  • Come up with new and creative meals!

Tommorow, I have to wake up at 5 in the morning  to go and workout, I figured this out because tommorow there is no way in the world I can fit it any other way. So five it is...I will drag my tired little booty to the gym and workout!!

Hopefully we all had a wonderful Weekend! Onto a new and exciting week! Ole!

P.S. I did finish all my essays! Phew!

It's great to read a refreshing, positive blog.  I'm glad you finished your essays and can now breathe a little easier.  I know what you mean, though, about hoping the scale stays at a smaller number.  I weighed in at 171.8 Saturday morning and hoped against hope it would hold for Wednesday's challenge (a 2.6 lb loss).  But alas, I was back up to 173 this morning.  Dang that Burger King and wicked, nasty cupcake!

How many times can I say it?  I love your attitude.

I love stickers.  I will get you some if you send me your address.  :-)  I'm not a psycho stalker.  But, then again, how would you know that!

How long did it take you to lose your weight?  I am sure it's in your blog, but I don't think I've gone back QUITE that far.

smoothies

I love smoothies!  But I have to be in the mood for them, but i think this week I'll try adding one a day as my meal/snack.  I love Jay Robb's Tropical protein powder (reminds me I have to buy some more!) with water, frozen mangoes and cherries.  Usually that's all my husband has for breakfast, almost every morning. 

Good job on getting those essays done, I'm sure it's a relief for you.  Hey, also my workout rotation changes for this week and i have to do two sessions of yoga.  so instead of doing it at home I was wanting to go to the Bikram studio on either Wed or Thurs.  wanna join me?

essays done!!!  Sounds like you are as happy to have last week behind you as I am!!!  lol.  I have just had enough of last week and I am happy that this one is here and I can get my focus back.

Just caught up on your weekend...sounds like you had a good one! I love candle parties! Hope it was fun. And your last-minute essay dilemna...story of my college career! But I swear, I wrote so much better when the pressure was on...got the creative juices flowing or something. Everytime I would write a paper with plenty of time to spare, my grades would not be nearly as good as the last-minute papers. haha! Well...hope your Monday has continued in a positive light, and good luck with your early morning gym routine!

Happy Happy Joy Joy

Alexia, I can always depend on your blog to be bright, cheery and very refreshing. I'm usually ok with Mondays, but not this Monday. I've been very moody (can I blame it on TOM?) and snacking like there's no tomorrow. You seem to have really good control of your food intake and are still losing weight. That is great and I'm proud of you. I've got to get back going before I balloon back up. Sedetary ain't the way to go.

I'm going to see the doctor tomorrow and no matter what she says, I'm going to be back in the gym May 1st. I can't take it anymore. I hate feel like Oopa Loopa....EWWW...LOL!

hehe Join the club!  Getting up at 5am, I mean.   It's tough stuff and sometimes I find myself highly caffeinating myself in the mornings!  Great work on taking the initiative to get up early and work out!

Smoothies

If you like Smoothies, I have great one for you (but it's not a recipe--its store bought).  It's Bolthouse Farms smoothies.  http://www.bolthouse.com/juice_main.html 

I love the strawberry bannana and berry boost!  They're 100% fruit (I actually think water is in the indgredients), and they're delicous!  We have them at Albertson's (I work there--I don't know if other places carry them), and they're in the produce section, near the Pom juices and bagged salads.  They're $2-3, but a bottle gives you 3 servings of fruit/veggies, and they're super yummy!

I have a "deck of cards" smoothie thing that my sister-in-law gave me awhile back.  I will look for some good recipes for you.  I used to be big on smoothies, but ever since my first pregnancy, I haven't really wanted them as much, for some weird reason.  I used to have them DAILY.

Just Saying Hi!

Sending you some greetings and sunshine (yes, unbelievable, isn't it?) from Boston.  Glad to hear you got your essays finished.  I've been helping Jerel edit his final paper/presentation which is due on Thursday.  It's almost like I'm in grad school too!!

Hope you're having a great week so far.  We're leaving for Miami on Friday so I'll be out of touch for a few days.
