Thank you for to everyone who gave me advice on Applebee's. Well we were supposed to go for dinner, but it got pushed to late night, around 10 so we could go for happy hour, that means appetizers are half off etc. Well I knew I couldn't hold my hunger to eat until 10, and I wouldn't want to eat that late, so I decided to have my dinner at home and just have dessert there. I researched their desserts, of course the ones I was looking at racked more than 700 calories! Yikes! So I decided to get the Weight Watchers Chololate Raspberry Layer Cake. It was soooo good! I asked for a side of strawberries so I could keep myself busy while everyone else was eating. Of course after they ate, they ordered dessert. They all ordered one, so infront of me was each kind of dessert! Guess what!? All I had was a bite of the Blondie and right away said yuck! I didn't like it all! So I didn't have anymore after that!
I did good! Didn't let the food control me, and even though I did have a bite, im still in line with the scale! Yahoo! Doesn't it feel good to know you have some sort of control over food?!
Last night while waiting for everyone to arrive, I decided to go to Walgreens to pick up Ice Breakers Mint Fruit Sours let me tell you these little suckers are addicting! Oh my! I can eat one whole pack in one day! They are sugar free and have no calories, so thats a good thing, but the feeling on my tongue afterwards hurts! I need to stop eating these! Anyways while at Walgreens, I decided to look at the magazines and glanced at the WW magazine. Even though im not on WW they have awesome advice! I loved the issue! I really like how its layed out as well. I just found alot of intresting stuff, I could use as well.
Its almost Friday!!! Yippie!!! *happy dance*
Have a wonderful Thursday! Smile!

Eating Out
I just read a great article in the May issue of Fitness about eating out. It says you should order a dessert for the whole table to share and to INDEED eat some. That way you still get to satisfy your sweet tooth and be part of the group (assuming they want to share). That way, too, you are less inclined to indulge when you get home. I think that the better you eat on a regular basis, the easier it is to avoid temptation. You did GREAT!
Sounds like a great plan you went there with. I know that when i don't have a plan, I over do it and regret it later. So you did well. That choc rasp dessert sounds so delicious! Yeah, I'm not a big fan of blondies either, but my husband likes them. but he doesn't buy or make them, a friend of ours makes them for him maybe once a year.
Way to go. If I ended up at Applebee's I'm sure I'd have issues. I used to be addicted to their spinach dip, boneless wings and homemade chips. (Not sure if they have all that in the States, but trust me...they are deliciously evil.)
Also, thanks for the info on the WW magazine. I've been thinking about picking it up for a while (although I'm a Jenny girl) and now I think I might give it a try.
I also tried the raspberry cake and agree that it's pretty good stuff! Very small in portion size but that makes sense because the nutrition facts are desireable and it's on the WW menu!
I have the new WW magazine in front of me right now and I'm going to peruse it after Oprah.
i'm glad you had a nice time at applebee's and i think you made a great decision to eat your dinner ahead of time and just have a dessert there. great job!
i have a box of those ice breakers also (the lime green one) and think they're pretty awesome. they also have come out with sugar free gum in the same flavors if you are a gum chewer.
Kudos for sticking to your guns at Applebee's and doing your research ahead of time. Applebee's WW desserts definitely rank high on taste. Especially the cheesecake! By the way...I love sour ice breakers too! I should pick up some tomorrow morning to keep my little fingers away from my co-workers candy dishes! lol
You are truly amazing YOUNG LADY! You go out with friends, drink and enjoy your life and still remember to eat correctly. Looks like your plan for living healthy is truly your reality!
