Hump Day Already?!

EEK! It's already Wednesday! Holy Macaroni! I have family coming into town this Friday for Easter Weekend, and I still have so much to do! Like clean up my place, and I have to go and help my sister with the grocery shopping for our celebrations. Usually when family comes we have parties everyday they are here!  Which means I need to start thinking about my eating plans for this weekend because Im not going to go off plan, and go crazy with my eating. OP I will stay!

My eating has been OP this week and Im feeling SORE! I wish I could describe the soreness, if you poke me, I want to cry like a baby.  I went to kick boxing class yesturday after going to Boxing on Monday. She really kicked my booty! I have alot of learning to do. I was mad at myself the whole night because I let other people who have been going their longer than me intimidate me. I have to stop this! I will learn, and I will get there as well! So even though im sore, im still going to go to class today. I have to build my body to be stronger. Singing *I will survive*.

Today we are supposed to hit the 90's! Holy Smokes! Im going to be on fire!  Got to get the sunscreen out!

Good work in getting to class for the third day in a row!  Your body will soon become accustomed to being used in that way and you won't get as sore.  But make sure you still add your other workouts every few weeks so your body doesn't adapt to just boxing/kickboxing and not see the workout as effective anymore.  And don't forget to rest and recover! 

Hey, wanna go on a run sometime before the race for the cure?  maybe next week after your family is gone?  Email/call me...

They don't call it kickboxing for nothing!

It is quite a workout! I took a class at a martial arts studio way back when it first became popular and it was a LOT harder than anything I took in a regular gym since. It is a fantastic workout though, so once you get over the soreness, you will be totally loving it and showing those other people whose boss!

Oh, the stress of family visits!

I have to say that I'm glad we don't have any Easter plans with family! We are going out, just the four of us. No food shopping, no housecleaning, no stress! But, on the other hand, I'd do it in a heartbeat if my mom were still alive and my parents wanted to come for a visit...

Did I tell  you that my dad's GF lives in Phoenix? He drives out all the time to visit and is probably going to move there, which means I will be visiting him a lot since I love AZ and have lots of family there. So, we will have to do lunch sometime, too! I think its great that you and Sas3 can hang out together!

The singing part cracked me up. You got a great attitude for someone who is intimidated by those who went there longer but everyone starts somewhere and I'm sure they were beginners just like you are now. One day, you'll be intimidating other beginners.  You're doing great!

i will survive, that is... it's such a great song!  good luck with your eating plan this weekend.  i will have a challenge coming up as well, but i think both of us can do this and still have a lot of fun while we're at it!

thank you very much for your comment on my rant.  it's nice to know that i'm not the only one this happens to if even your sister makes comments to you.  you are totally right, until someone is following me 24/7 - which i hope never happens because that would be FREAKY - no one has the right to say anything to me about how much i eat.  in fact, before i started this journey, i used to eat in private so people didn't see how much i was eating because i was *embarrassed* at how i was binge eating so much ice cream and cookies!

Kick Boxing

It's hard, that kick boxing.  I am doing it occasionally in my aerobics class that I am taking for credit at school.  The teacher said that you need to rember to bring your legs back into the "chamber" position after you kick to prevent injuries.

 

It took me about 6 classes to catch on.  I am sure you can do it.  (If I can do it, everyone can!!)

I'm jealous

I want the weather you're getting! It's so much colder here right now than it's been in the last month..... On another note: If there was anyone I'd bet money on to stay OP this weekend it'd be YOU. I have so much faith in you, you wanna know why? Because I can "hear" the determination in your posts. I know you're gonna be watching what you eat, how much you eat, when you eat and the "why" you eat... You don't lose all the weight you lost by just "winging it", you lose that kind of weight by planning and having a goal in mind. I know you're gonna be on top of the situation, and in total control, because- well because you are Alexia RULER of Her Own Life !  **LOL** (Yeah I know it's late and I'm feeling a little bit goofy) But I'm sure you'll be fine this holiday weekend! And you are gonna be learning every time you go to that class, and you'll be getting better every time too. So those people wont be able to intimidate you for much longer! You'll be making them walk the line soon! But like someone said above in another comment, you do have to give your body time to rest and recover, that way the muscle fibers can repair the micro rips your making and you build lean strong muscles which of course burns more fat. (YAY!)  Also, love the new pic you added, you are just too cute! Hope you have a great Thursday!!

90 degrees!!

Please send some of that my way too!  Its in the 40's here.  We need big coats, earmuffs, and all. 

Kickboxing, huh.  I remember taking a kickboxing class when I was in college...it was really fun!  Taebox gives me that same feeling...like I'm SUPERWOMAN. 

Good luck with the Easter candy.  I know when I send home care packages for my neices and nephews I get so tempted.  But you're a woman in control now...so you should have no problem.  The calories alone had you running. lol
